Their day was not ruined by the 12 "assholes" it was ruined by an overreaction by the law enforcement officers. And actually, everyone there was "dancing", dancing is a rhythmic motion of the body, as is breathing, ergo, breathing could be considered dancing, so could walking, so could bobbing your head, so could snapping, so could chewing, so could any movement. The minority wasn't forcing anyone to dance, they were not causing a problem or injury with their dancing, they weren't even dancing in front of or on the statue. There was more than enough room for them to do what they were doing and for everyone else to do as they were doing.
