These memorials are not sacred places. All they are stone and mortar buildings. The buildings are not holy places nor are they ancient artifacts. They are not Notre Dame, the Temple Mount, nor the Egyptian pyramids. They are only about 150 years old and if they were destroyed would be easily replaced.

The importance of the memorials is the ideology of the men they represent, NOT the building. That ideology being liberty, the pursuit of happiness, freedom, etc. Also, these buildings do not belong to the Park Police. They belong to the American people.

Since the creation of these buildings, they have been the location of many protests. An example being Martin Luther King's "I have a dream speech" at the Lincoln Memorial.

The men that these memorials represent did not believe freedom of speech was something that was controlled by "freedom of speech zones", "protest permits", nor police officers stating "stop resisting when I have my knee on your throat".

For the people calling Adam Kokesh, a commie or a hippie, maybe you should realize that this man is a War Veteran who put his life on the line fighting for the ideas of the men who these memorials represent only to be lied to by his upper chain of command. So watch who you are calling a commie because you are wrong.

Yes Kokesh was trying to provoke a response. That was the whole idea of bring attention to laws which go against our fundamental constitutional rights. You can argue it being good taste or bad taste, but the point we do not need laws for such things as stupidity. They do not arrest people for speaking on cell phones in a theater, they ask them to leave.

You only have to look at the example from last week of the crippled man in a wheelchair being slammed into the pavement by DC metro police to see the government and police do not respect the citizens nor their constitutional rights any longer. Meanwhile there has not been any arrests in the Banker's coup d'etat in this country.

So go ahead and applaud the police and courts in totaling ignoring the constitution of this country. That document is obviously no longer relevant in this country.
