Quoting: GradientWhy is it that it seems everyone these days is always someone else? It seems that there is an underlying motive or personality that always rears in the times when doors are finally being opened. Are the days of the handshake deal really gone? If not, where are these people that mean what they say and say what they mean? Trust, to humanities detriment, has become a multifaceted term that at one time meant something. Something that was attached to a length of time. These days, it's 'trust while convenient'. Don't hand out something whole, unless you are ready to get it back in jagged pieces, tied to mendacious reasoning. "Let's make a deal", "I'll pay you back", "I mean what I say" Why is this getting so bad? It is written. Psyhcological and spiritual warfare. And BUMP +1 "We are locked in a battle. This is not a friendly, gentleman's discussion. It is a life and death conflict between the spiritual hosts of wickedness and those who claim the name of Jesus Christ." "Search for the truth is the noblest occupation of man; its publication is a duty.” Anne Louise Germaine de Stael (1766-1817), French author “In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act.” George Orwell "I am the way, the truth, and the life." 'course for the record, it is Vulgar Latin specifically -- Latin evolved and changed just like English is doing now -- Romans figured out how to bull-shit their way though life just like many Americans do anyways, as far as the time element, well that goes to the concept of Honor i believe, and the distinct difference between the terms behavior and conduct honor basically means 'one' and is the heart of the term 'ego' -- honor = 1 efficiency -- honor -- fidelity that is the recipe for good conduct: :elf: e1f |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1330562 United States 06/04/2011 02:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you're still "speaking" and expecting truth, you've yet to transcend the bullshit/dreamstate/reality layer. Realize what's real, and what's real will be obvious. It's really like seeing the world through NEO's eyes.. and yea if people find out that you know they are full of shit, you can be ostracized, even from lifelong friends and family. If they can't manipulate you, they have no use for you, they'll seek weaker targets. Why I'm not sure I still get caught... I still want to trust them instead of the truth at times. Example I bought something at a garage sale and the lady was very nice, I made an offer, she bit right away, in that moment truth was revealed to me, so I asked to reaffirm my suspicion, "I'm assuming this works"... she paused and said "yes the instructions are all there"... did you catch the deception in her words? She answered a question I didn't ask. I didn't catch it until later when I plugged it in and it worked for 5 minutes before crappin out. $20 lesson. The demons are running amok, and if you're not seeing them for who they really are you are losing the spiritual war that is going on all around you. They want everything you have, and they will trick you in to selling them your soul before you even realize it. What's real is truth and it's available to all who are able to discern and see it for what it is. It's not easy, only by way of the LORD any of us stand a chance in this day and age. |

BunkerMany here are more real behind a screen than in life. Not talking about you, but true none the less. funny you make a post like this, with an avatar like that. Quoting: CeraphicAt least you aren't bigoted, right? the poster makes an insightful observation about your avatar I think, not bigoted. You raised the question, so it's interesting to think about how avatars are supposed to reflect what we WANT people to see or think about us. You have chosen a fictional and fantastical and horrific avatar that, supposedly, is trying to convey something about you you want us to know. So...it's actually a good point. On another point, your question reminded me of the old saying “Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching.” I don't think most people do that anymore. |

"When looking for blame for allowing things to get the way they are, we have to go no farther then looking in a mirror." From the movie "V". We have allowed the government and TPTB (Satan) to control all of us sheep. Until we unify as one human family and kick their asses out of the seats of power, things and relationships will continue to go down hill. Nobody is going to save us. We must save ourselves! Namaste! |

It's not easy, only by way of the LORD any of us stand a chance in this day and age. You hit the nail on the head. They teach "situational ethics" for a very important reason. Give lying a fancy name and then its much easier to get people to sell their souls without even realizing it. I think the most important sentence in the bible is John 1:1 where it explains just who we really are. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". So in the beginning before there was anything there was the "word" and it was always there and did not have to be created. Man was made in the image of God, so if God is the "word" then man is his "word", its as simple as that. If your "word" is no good then you are no good. What better way to get man so far away from who he really is than to get man to voluntarily destroy his own "word" and by doing so destroys himself? . |

Anyway, the dynamics of integrity and its opposite have been with us for as long as we've been human, I guess. But I think you are right, it is getting worse - as everything polarizes at accelerating speed. Fact is, taking part in society without adhering to absolute political correctness has become damned near as impossible in "democracy" as under totalitarianism. Fantastic opportunity to be oneself! :) Peace to you & yours, OP |
