Is anyone real anymore?

Okay. Examples: Catholicism used to be real to me because I believed in it. Then I evolved, through experience as well as education, and found it was not real and my belief fizzled in the wind. My belief in it made it real to me. All the teachings held power over me because of my belief. Nothing was real about it, except what my mind created. One day I walked away from it and there was no physical change, no mental anguish. I just didn't believe anymore. Same with a couple relationships I had. I believed I was in love with this man or that. It felt real in the moment. However now I know--from experience--that it was a good relationship based on strong emotional attachment or connection. So now I know, rather than merely believe, I was in caring relationships until I found one that was beyond all that.

Experiences are constantly different as we become more aware. I have found it to be impossible to hold any prior standard to the relevancy of my current situation. I used to judge and blame others when my ego was offended. And sometimes I still slip into that. But from experience--and awareness--I find the unique quality of each moment and lend the benefit of the doubt to the learning curve of the experiencer, whether that be me or someone else.

This is a big topic. I like it.

To get past that is a major accomplishment!

There is an old western saying; There are three kinds of people in everyone; The one we pretend to be, the one we want to be, and the one we are.

Playing devil's advocate here, but isn't believing, innocently as it may be, that you are evolved beyond another's way of belief and thinking an issue of ego as well? Even if it is passive?

Trust is a character issue. I think some are actually born with honorable characters and some learn honor. But if honor and ethics are no longer being "enforced on the youth" it will only get worse as this ball keeps spinning. No one is teaching them by example anymore. And each generations hypocrisy gets worse amongst its elders.

Try keeping Infinity together without tearing the finite apart. Were you there when the waters were measured?
