As a prebuscent child, specifically female, were you already made aware of the “power” you had over the sexual urges of full grown, married men with children? Were you made aware, again, as a CHILD, that it was YOUR responsibility to dress in a way so as not to “tempt” full grown men and make them lust after you? Were you made aware that if a grown man lusted after you, even if you were young enough that you still didn’t have breasts or pubic hair, that it would be YOUR FAULT, and you would have to plead to God for forgiveness for YOUR SIN against this man, his family, your family and your church?

If you were, and believed this, then you were effectively groomed and prepared to be sexually abused by adults. You were brainwashed....PROGRAMMED. Children are sexualized from very young ages within numerous churches/religions just as effectively as they are in show business, albeit by a different method. However, the intended results are exactly the same.

Were you forced, under penalty of punishment (physical or otherwise) or being shamed/humiliated into memorizing, and then repeatedly reciting in monotone, full chapters of scripture? Did the punishment for your sin/wrongdoing consist of having your ass paddled by an adult of the opposite sex (specifically young girl vs adult male) you weren’t related to? Especially in front of other children? Or perhaps being forced into uncomfortable physical positions, or remanded to a closet or other small, isolated space to “think and pray”?

That is programming, folks.
