This is what our soldiers, marines, and naval forces were involved in 67 years ago today:

Celebrate your freedom as these people rolled back the tide of fascist aggression and were the beginning of the ending of Hitler's Nazi Germany.

And what have you done for our freedom? Even as our airports are a beachhead for creeping fascism and the ruination of our 4th Amendment freedoms.

I say take this day, watch this heroism, and tell the TSA at the airports to FUCK OFF HELL NO.... and then sue them when you can't fly and you lose your job because you don't want to be sexually harassed/assaulted by these goons.

Remember... never ever forget. Your freedom lies in the blood of millions who sacrificed for you to uphold our Constitution.

He was lucky. The Germans, during that battle, were moving so fast, they couldn't afford to slow down and handle prisoners. They started shooting them. After word spread, Americans stopped surrendering figuring they would just be shot if they did.

Back when I actually bought the newspaper they had a column called "50 years ago today" about WWII that I would read every morning...
