The primal nature of man may well be rooted in many behaviors that are damaging- that is why we have free will to make rational and beneficial choices and the brain power to understand the consequences of going primal. We rise above our tribalism, our mob rule, petty violences and embrace a rule of law, morality and family. We replace the short term thinking of instant gratification and replace it with long term thinking and the joys of family, peace and security. Mankind are naturally what we choose to be, which is why we have impulses AND the ability to use our brains.
