BEATLES [WHITE ALBUM] [Meanings Of Life]
This is not an exaggeration, as the meaning of life can be found within this album several times over from multiple perspectives, if you are willing to hear it. What you have here in this topic is experimentation and free-mindedness at it's absolute peak. Four men having seen it all record their thoughts and experiences into permanence so if you think I was being hyperbolic with the subject title if anything I was understating. There is a reason Charles Manson went batty listening to this -- some people can't handle truth when it's presented so honestly, purely and without restraint.

The Beatles. The White Album. Arguably the greatest album ever created, now presented to you in it's original Mono form, from the immaculate 2009 remasters. I still am learning from this album and will always. You will as well. Open your ears and get ready to get taken on an audible planeride (literally) that spans multiple journeys and mindsets and elevations and revolutions and ends upon a lullaby.

Well that's because they condensed all their talent into fourteen perfect songs -- how could it NOT be LOL?! Every Beatles album I like more at certain points in my life, but the one album I always consistently like on the same level is the White Album, and I think it's because of how all over the place it is, which is really the definition of psychedelic if you think about it.

I would agree that the White Album is The Beatles most psychedelic album, as you say, it's absolutely ALL over the place, but every song fits into the whole and most could stand on their own as well.

Yeah for sure. I didn't used to think this, but now I'll never skip a track. I used to think half of it was whatever, well I just got done listening to it for the billionth time, but once again, an immaculate listen that only seems to become more and more natural with every playthrough. Everything balances out. The extremes all pull everything together. Pop here, noise here, trippiness here, sincere folk here, balladry, dance music, it's got it all going on.

I think it's honestly the least BLATANTLY psychedelic, but htat's only from a first impression. I think when you think about the term, "Psychedelic", it's along the lines of "something that seems natural that has absolutely no logical reason to seem so", or something similar. Like, familiarity that you have no clue why it's so familiar, as it's entirely new. I think they made all this music that almost works as a dedication or a love letter to music as a whole, but with their hyper-aware take on it, it becomes the most (subtle) psychedelic album ever. Just because there's nothing trippier than having your mind blown to a catchy chorus and head-noddin' beat that even a four-year-old could find appealing.

I agree, it took me several years to fully appreciate the White Album, I used to skip certain tracks, but eventually you learn to love those songs just as much, if not more than your initial favorites..

BEST POST EVER
Thanks for that
And yes, it is really fascinating. Music isn't really anything but us showing off just how conscious we are....enough to manipulate sound waves to the degree of creating melodies and harmonies. It's really amazing how advanced we are even if we aren't the most advanced species (or maybe we are?).
But yes, as you can clearly see from your post, you are definitely understanding a lot of the deeper concepts in this album...as Leary said...thank God for the Beatles

Yeah. I think that a lot of times when you overplay your initial favorites, it can ruin them for when you DO grasp the whole of really any album. But if you don't....or if you do and then give it some time....the end result is magical. I love music so much.
