If they need to alter anything it should be the aggression/rage gene. Instead they are encouraging that kind of behavior, at least here in the US.

I'm not sure that I believe this story though as it wouldn't be that simple, and getting rid of religious impulses would do nothing to stop people from fighting, they'd just find other things to fight about.
