The sun/clock has been off for several years. It's like we sped up or something.

Is there a way to independently measure time?

Because I'm not buying it.

Yes..

"". In 1967, atomic clocks had become so accurate that the second was redefined as the time taken for 9192631770 cycles of the radiation corresponding to the hyperfine transition of the ground state of caesium-133. The original definition of the second as 1/86400 of a mean solar day was abandoned because the Earth's motion was not reliable enough.""

Good luck. blink rolleyes abduct

we are seeing odd skies at night due to all of the intense ACF's..artificial cloud formations...after the heating of the day diminishes the acf's act differently...the aluminum remaining in the atmosphere is still reflecting and whatever other bizarre chemical soup they are creating....i contact the state officials at least once a week...the ionosphere is being used and manipulated..for the power mongers... an unfortunate side effect for us...is the poison........barium has been found in oddly large quantities in soil testing...what is barium sometimes used for??? IMAGING --one night a couple of months ago i got up..I was not seeing the moon at all for over a week..it gave me an uneasy feeling so now I am up..wow..stars no moon..then a thin veil passed in a flash ...now moon no stars...now what the F was that???...I say practice makes perfect...imaging
Something odd in Chicago too

I am used to being up early from my work in film/television and is has always been quiet but lately I've woken up at 3 am or so to the sound of a few birds absolutely going nuts tweeting. It's not the normal "hey, I'm a bird!" singing either. It's like, "holy crap I'm saying something important!!!" As I was writing this though, they actually stopped for like a minute then began singing normally. And our sky is still pitch black.

I don't know about the whole "sun is in a different spot" thing, but I do hear roosters crowing at 3 AM and I have two clock radios that gain 10 minutes like every two weeks! WTF is going on?

I've noticed that also, we've updated the clocks at home several times in the past 2 months. Worst was at the office, everyone tries to punch out at 5 or later (manager was keen on staying til the exact minute) only to find its still 4:50 - we'd reset everything to match what the computers said, but every couple weeks it would start to lag a few minutes behind again.

Could this explain?

Could it be the phenomenon known as the "dawn chorus"? The light from it might explain whit the sky is lit up enough to see a blue sky without the sun being up?

Dawn Chorus also mentions the birds early activity as defending territory or attracting a mate.
