**WARNING** COMING FLOOD...MISSOURI RIVER BASIN...PLEASE HELP!!
By early next week, the Omaha metro area should get its first look at the full effects of the peak water releases from Gavins Point Dam.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Tuesday morning will begin releasing 150,000 cubic feet of water per second from the dam that controls water levels along the Missouri River in Nebraska, Iowa and points south.

At 150,000 cfs, a football field would fill four feet deep in one second.

Normally, water flowing out of Gavins Point takes about two days to reach Omaha.

I HAVE LOCATED THIS DATA AS OF TODAY IT LOOKS LIKE ALL SIX DAMS ARE AT 100% CAPACITY PLEASE I NEED HELP READING THIS DATA.

150,000 CFS BY JUNE 18 FOLKS THIS IS MAJOR THIS DAM IS ONLY BUILT FOR 50,000 CFS THEY ARE WAY OVER THE LIMITS.

The only thing I can say is to keep bumping this 80% of the snow has not melted yet and is still to come.

Flood Warning issued for St.Louis, MO...Jefferson City, MO above flood stage already.

I live near the boothill in Doniphan, MO I am very concerned for the fact that the Missouri River flows into the Mississippi

Ain't no way Fort Peck dam is gonna overflow and breach. They can let water out of it faster than the water coming into it. SAME FOR EVERY DAMN EVER EXISTED IN THE US.

Do you guys thing Engineers are that stupid? That they would make dams that can let water out faster than the maximum in flow?

Yee have little faith in Engineers.

The Fort Peck Dam is the highest of six major dams along the Missouri River, located in northeast Montana in the United States, near Glasgow, and adjacent to the community of Fort Peck. At 21,026 feet (6,409 m) in length and over 250 feet (76 m) in height, it is the largest hydraulically filled dam in the United States, and creates Fort Peck Lake, the fifth largest man-made lake in the U.S., more than 130 miles long, 200 feet deep, and it has a 1,520 mile shoreline which is longer than the state of California's coastline.

The corps is what caused the secondary flood in Nashville last year. They opened dams without telling anybody what they were doing. Finally admitted to it, but it's been kept hush-hush by most of the media.
