Massive brown outs in Long Island/NYC area today! Anyone else confirm?

Guys, just to give you some background info, we never get outtages, spikes, or anything serious on Long Island. Since 5pm yesterday EST, we have been getting these quick 2 second brown outs shutting the entire house down, and than starting back up again. Normally things like these happen very rarely, usually on 100*F days, but I am starting to think this is related to some solar weather. Can anyone confirm weird electric activity and/or outtages in the NE area today?

I called my neighbors, I called my family 20miles away, NYC residents, and they all confirmed the same outtages, at the same time. Unfortunately, I do not have anyone to confirm outside of New York state.

Could we have some real solar weather problems here? Or is it a local NYC grid issue?
