I don't think believing in science and having a basic understanding of risk and the benefits of modern medicine means I need to "grow up" or get off any bandwagon.

Quoting: monkeydogConceptual problem here. Science is that which we think is true because of facts and logic, not belief or popular opinion. Not everyone is a scientist, or has the time or ability to understand the evidence. But there are those commenting in this thread who do, and some including me reach the opposite opinion from yours.
