Throwing and kicking them back is easier.

They heat up and will probably burn through a plastic bag.

best way to get rid of cops at a demonstration is to:

1. age dozens of cartons of eggs for lets say 1-6 months on a balcony exposed to the sun

2. confiscate the eggs into police infastructure, such as cop cars, squat team trucks, appartus truks, and front lines. the shit stinks. the cops will abandon their post.

3. throw the eggs at the police uniforms and/or gear. they will promptly take it off.

4. you can't wash out the smell. their gear will be useless and police will go into convulsions ready to throw up.

5. their tear gas masks might protect them.. not sure.


i am just guessing of course. i've never been in a demonstration... i'm just having fun typing LOL...

btw - liquid ammonia might work just as well, but wrotten eggs have always worked for me.. my family use to raise chickens and we once had to clear the house for over a month once one rotten egg was broken inside.. we cleaned and cleaned and could not get rid of the smell... it literally took that long...

Oh yeah not to mention the pressure, even if you could get a bag tightly sealed. A big non-fun exploding balloon.

and what other kind of bag might work? fire blanket with tied top? how about a glass jar with a lid?

the canister is pressurized to be sure. but tear gas cannisters act by diffusion into the wind and the like. the pressure is no doubt low enough so it can't injure people. it has to be designed that way. so i think a loosely bound bag or jar would work fine.

tupperware container with a very small hole in it would hold the device while allowing a slow bleed off of pressure

I do know, we had gas chamber training with the granade type, if it can burn the hell out of my hand after trying to pick up.... I don't think a plastic bag would have very good chance. Especially while they are still going off.

it doesn't solve the problem and neutralize it.. cops are immune to the canisters and the concentrations still diffuse.

and a rag around the whole to prevent most of the tear gas from escaping... good idear

so if you had to engineer a cheap but solid container to dispoose of them in, how would you build it?

some of my guesses might be

1. pressure cooking pot with duct tape.
2. fire extinguisher emptied, cut open, and sealed with duck tape, with some sort of pressure release on top.
3. small oxygen/gas cylinder cut open and ducted taped shut.
4. oven ware such as pyrex, duct taped shut, with rag-vent.

I guess if you were in a stationary position you could dump them into a 55 gallon drum with a sealable lid. Grabbing with a gloved hand though :).

That stuff gives off alot of gas so I think it'd still be better to just try and either throw it back or down wind somewhere.

They are just as immune as us. Working with a gas mask on is less handy.
But maybe the best way is to start riots when the wind is blowing and a storm is brewing. Should be more fun in more aspects like that.

A good thing to bring when you go to a demo is marbles and lots of em.

The horse's will fall when trying to charge you , you can throw at old bill and if things quieten down you can have a little game with your mates/fellow activists/marble lovers.

would throwing into a pail of water help to both dissolve the tear gas and keep the temperature down? and then seal the container?

i just despise protestors for their lack of ingenuity.

i think they look stupid and need to improvise for pennies on the dollar, to show the cops how cheap their crowd control meausres are...

i hate hockey.. and those people in vancouver were idiots for rioting... those kids deserve what they get...

but in greece they got something to riot about... and i think people need to work harder at duping the authorities.

they will but you may be able to use baking bags, of course some is going to eventually going to leak. the truth is you can develop immunity to tear gas if you're exposed to it frequently. best just breath easy and don't rub your eyes etc and don't go putting water in your face. some people react pretty severely but usually once the initial discomfort is past its not so bad.

i hear there were a lot of innocents who got picked on in vancouver..

nontheless there were a lot of cell phone camaras and fence sitters walking by neutral, looking for a good spectator sport, with no bad intentions other than to congregate around savage idiots. in my opinion, they deserve what they get too... i would have left the city before the end of the hockey game personally... riots are not spectator sports - they are only places to get arrested.. and you didn't have to have a high IQ to know it was likely...

on the other hand, it is sad to see vancouver turn into a police state - citizen camera patrolled, riot on facebook...
facebook is bad enough as using it is like having your ID checked on every corner you walk past down the street, even though you have nothing to hide. even though most people never find this harmful, it is psychologically harmful and problematic, in that it promotes spying on each other, and a culture of fear. it conditions people to cyber-spying on each other...

tear gas is really only effective on pussys anyway.

I never heard of that product. i don't cook things in plastic. but now that I know of the product, i am guessing its quite cheap...

1. leather welding gloves
2. pickle jar filled with half water, and screwed shut over rag on top, and small hole on centre of jar lid.

i'd target police infastructure such as apparatus vans, cop cars, setup/staging areas, and places where they get dressed up. i'd rotten egg them from a distance, and run away like mad, with a planned escape that includes diversionary tactics, within 100m of going berzerk with eggs flying...

but that's just me...
