Anonymous Coward User ID: 1334578 Serbia 06/20/2011 12:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's red, does NOT itch, very watery, somewhat sensitive to light. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1282080I don't think it's 'pink eye' because it doesn't itch at all, but not sure. I do wear contacts (but not wearing them now of course). Did put a few drops in which helps temporarily and then it flares back up. I actually find the longer I go without blinking the BETTER it feels...so maybe something is wrong with my eyelid?!?!?! Anyone experienced anything like this? I can live with the redness and constant tears but IT FEELS LIKE THERE IS FIRE IN MY EYE!!!! There are few possib. reasons: 1. Sun radiation...there are many exp. this. Use sunglasses but dont get use to it. Just use it till it pass.Otherwise if you use them long time..you will not be able to look without them at all after. 2. You got some infection. (see someone who knows about it or see all symptoms involved and see yourself on internet. 3. You got some material inside. *and it is geting your tissue get flamed. Use camomile tea decoction on it. 15 min, 3 times a day. Will pass in 1 day. Ask for more.. :P |

It could be an infection, but you really need a correct diagnosis. Your eyes are nothing to screw with! I had something that sounds similar. I also wore contacts, and I had a reaction to a new brand of solution. It actually caused a small ulcer on my cornea. HURT LIKE HELL!!! It felt like someone stuck a pin in my eye. I made the mistake of thinking "if I just take the contact out, it will feel better eventually." And it did feel better if I kept it open (like you). Turns out I was up all night because I couldn't close my eyes for too long. The next morning the doctor gave me some drops and ointment to put on my eye and it felt much much better. |

Contact lenses seem to make people More susceptable to bad stuff. The antibiotic eye drops are fairly painless and local so no systemic Nastyness. |

Let the water cool off while the tea bags steep. When the water/teabags are cold, place the teabags on your eyes for a few minutes....for me, I dip them into the tea again if they lose the wetness after a while. Someone else mentioned Chamomile, but that is even more likely to cause an allergic reaction in people with hay fever, so try the black tea first (chamomile normally isn't handy in most households anyways).
