Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1328703So how come they missed (almost all) of the other contestants? I mean, really...you are saying that forty-odd BEAUTY CONTESTANTS were bright enough and strong-willed enough to determine a scientific truth despite all the efforts of the mainstream to force them into a mold? What's next? The entire UCLA cheer squad realizes that sports are just a silly waste of time and quit en masse? Anyone smarter than a stepped-on garter snake would probably figure out that the brainwashing was that there was any scientific controversy about evolutionary theory (as opposed to religious and political controversy, that is). |

More workings of the commies, as if the feminist were not commies from the git-go. There are no jobs the beauties qualify for after the contest, no real world job to even compare with it. The only reason for the stupid Miss USA is to teach young girls that is what they want to be, over-sexed hos, not happily married with a family. |

Anyone smarter than a stepped-on garter snake would probably figure out that the brainwashing was that there was any scientific controversy about evolutionary theory (as opposed to religious and political controversy, that is). No controversy? Are you insane, or misinformed? Darwinian style evolutionary theory is totally unworkable, just ask Crick, discoverer of DNA, and other real scientist. The mechanics of the origin of life are not as simple as Darwin's theory claims. You have to remember that Darwin, and most 19th Century biologist, thought that cells were undifferentiated masses of protoplasm. Many of these also still believed that the origin of these cell could have been through Spontaneous Generation |

God would have to be an idiot if he didn't design all creatures with the ability to adapt to changing environments. Evolution is not at odds with creation. Man evolving from amoebas is at odds with creationism. |

That any "Real" scientist disagrees with the modern synthesis, thus any scientist with a solid background in paleontology, microbiology, genetics, cell biology, epigenetics, embryology, etc., etc., who agrees with the modern synthesis is not a "Real" scientist? It may have escaped your notice but Charles Darwin died many years ago. Assuming the evolutionary theory stopped with him is like assuming physics stopped with Sir Isaac Newton. Perhaps you think we are still stuck with Lord Kelvin, estimating the life of the Sun entirely by the residual heat of gravitational collapse? Perhaps you believe we are back with the "Shrinking Earth," before plate tectonics became accepted? Science moves ahead. With lots of heat and sparks, certainly, and with a lot of fumbles and mistakes at the front lines. But that's how it moves. Natural Selection -- the core of Darwin's contribution -- is understood to be subtler than Darwin understood at the time, and not the only force leading to evolution of species (not that Darwin claimed it was). And it has been tested, thoroughly and painfully, to the extent that it would be more believable that the scientific community was wrong about planetary motion or valence electrons. |

Nothing wrong with teaching the ability of animals to adapt to changing environments over generations. Does that mean we evolved from amoebas or monkeys? I don't think so. I think man has evolved from man from creation and that changing environments gave rise to vestigial organs. But would it change my belief in the Bible or God to find out that we did evolve from monkeys or amoebas? No, because I have seen evidence of just how inspiration works. |

He was an advocate of panspermia, the idea that DNA was sent here from an intelligent alien civilization to seed life. He had no argument against evolution. |

[link to missinguniversemuseum.com] "Still has some functions" is not the same as "vestigial." The vermiform appendix that we share with many other mammals, in those other species is a robust developed organ. In us it has been reduced, no longer used for its primary function. Although it appears it may function as a repository for intestinal flora, making it easier to re-populate after certain diseases, this was never the primary function. Plenty of animals achieve the same result through coprophagia, for instance. |
