I love the articles that say 'Radioactive debris from Japan'
or some such, then they proceed to say in the body that the debris is not radioactive...

Fuku is so much more way worse then Chernobyl...
They don't do a thing about it and reactor 4s spent fuel pool is dry and ready to crash to the ground.

I truly fear for the planet as TPTB do nothing.

They are trying but there really is not a lot you can do with melting reactor cores. I keep hoping someone, somewhere, will have an 'eureka' moment and save the day... but I'm a dreamer.

Not too sure about the currents but I have a feeling the debris will end up scattered along the west coast... from unalaska to baja. Bits and pieces will wash up forever. I could be wrong but I don't see a great mass arriving in one location.

300 tons is a butt load. How many tunnels are there? Have they checked them all...doubtful

I will be keeping an eye on the Oregon Coast. It is pretty rustic and not too built up. It's a beautiful place, I'd hate to see it ruined.

It truly is one of the most beautiful and rugged coastlines anywhere. I've traveled up and down the west coast numerous times and never get tired of seeing it. Such a shame to despoil any part of it, for any reason.

There is around Two Thousand Tons of Active and Spent Fuel on the Fukushima Daiichi Site inculding Mox Fuel,Plutonium and Uranium..No 3 was an Mox Reactor..That Reactor and the SFP Above it were completely Blown-Out in the Explosion:

What do you all think about the suspected explosion of #4 on 1/09/12? I don't have enough detail to form an educated opinion. House of Foust would have been all over it had it been confirmable. Earthquakes? The building is pretty open now so I wouldn't think gas could build up. I just can't wrap my brain around this one...

agreed... to much "real" information here for them to dispute....

there's black and white on this one... i can't see how someone fence-sits, unless to create a confused attitude?... there was a post a few weeks ago pointing out that some commentary was always "neat and organised" educated conversation,.. and at other times broken english, dependent upon the topic and respondent... more interesting is the use of coliquialisms bound to certain parts of the world, and then the refutations of citizenship.... strange, and ignorable...

A 2-day global conference to call for a nuclear free world opened in Yokohama on Saturday.

The event was organized by the Japanese non-governmental organization Peace Boat and 5 other groups.
