Unit 3 was severely damaged by a hydrogen explosion during the accident. The unit's fuel handling machine, which had been positioned above the fuel pool before the accident, has fallen into the pool along with a large amount of steel frames and other debris.

this Spots and the Contamination was much more unchanging
and steady in a wide Area!

Or at least i remember it was so,

If my local Swimming Pool Building was to be blown apart like the Units at Daiichi were I would'nt expect to see much of anything left inside.

My local Swimming Pool is'nt surrounded by such a hardy Concrete/Rebar Containment Building either.

The Amount of Hydrogen that must have built up inside of these buildings to cause such utter devastation must have beenunder incredible pressure to have caused so much damage,it is confusing.

Side note,did you feel the 9.0 Earthquake AB?

It is a little confusing the pictures being sold to us.

I've seen the Pictures of the Pools on Fire from the Live Cams as well as them leaking and being close to empty in the earlier Days,these events were(should have been)enougth for the Fuel contained there-in to over-heat to the point of no return and I believe this is what happened.

Any Water in the Pools needs to be constantly refilled and cooled with whatever can be thrown at it..but this in turn will make the Pools even less stable in the long run and ensure total failure/meltdown(which has been reported to have already happened in three of the Units)..it's a terrible situation.

The Early Images of the immidiate aftermath of the explosions showed clearly that the Water in the Pools had almost totally evaporated/leaked and the Water Storage Units for 'Waste Water' were also blown out from the bottom.

Also the supposed Water Storage Units were reported to be full in Apil/May 2011..see how confusing this whole gig is!?

TEPCO to send robot into Fukushima No.2 reactor building Wed.
Tokyo Electric Power Co. will use a robot on Wednesday at its crisis-ridden Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant to check whether there is damage to the suppression pool at the bottom of the No. 2 reactor's primary containment vessel, the company said Tuesday.

''We want to check whether there is no deformation or damage in the suppression pool. And, with any luck, we hope to see areas where water (injected into the reactor as a coolant) may be leaking,'' Junichi Matsumoto, spokesman of the utility known as TEPCO, told a press conference.

No one is mentioning the destructive effect of seawater on everything. The images don't tell the entire story. 3.5% salt and highly corrosive. Not to mention the increasing and cumulative salinity caused by evaporation during the use of such in the early months of cooling.
