Osaka presents proposals for restarting reactors
Osaka prefecture and city have jointly submitted an 8-point proposal to the central government listing conditions that should be met before the first reactors are restarted following the Fukushima nuclear disaster.

Osaka governor Ichiro Matsui and Osaka city mayor Toru Hashimoto held a meeting with Chief Cabinet Secretary Osamu Fujimura on Tuesday. They discussed the government's plan to turn reactors at the Ohi nuclear power plant back on.

Fukushima to ask IAEA to set up local office
The governor of Fukushima Prefecture will visit the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency to ask it to establish an office in the prefecture to help with the aftermath of the nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi plant.

Sources say that Fukushima Governor Yuhei Sato will visit the IAEA headquarters in Vienna, Austria in August to meet the Director General of the agency Yukiya Amano.

4 nuclear plants asked to review quake safety
Japan's nuclear safety agency is set to ask the operators of 4 nuclear power plants to re-examine the effects of seismic activities that it says became more active after the March 2011 earthquake in northern Japan.

The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency will request the reassessment of quake resistance for the Tomari plant in Hokkaido, Tsuruga and Monju plants in Fukui Prefecture and the Shimane plant in Shimane.

Current geiger reading in downtown Vancouver canada

Average based on readings since feb 2012


current average based on 1237 hrs of data is
.151 uSv/hr or 15 counts per minute +-1 2 counts based on 1 reading every 60 seconds since feb 2012

highs
.285 uSv/hr or 32 counts per minute +- 2 counts

lows
.060 uSv/hr or 5 counts per minute
still higher than june 2011 which averaged .090 to .127 uSv/hr

but lower than mid dec to early jan 2011/2012
with highs of .728 uSv/hr and an average of .350 to .450 uSv/hr.

two road trips to alberta say that they got 2-3 times what we had dropped on us...

times the hourly rate by 25 hr and then 365 days to work out your yearly exposure

meter has been sent and returned for calibration conformation just to make sure its reasonably accurate..and hooked to laptop. metering since June pre february data was lost due to hard drive crash and burn mechanical meltdown..friends gieger went of in March and has not been silent since...

Hey Silver,have you yet seen any video of Unit 4 exploding(as it obviously did)?

I cannot find any video of it what-so-ever,this would be damning evidence indeed as it would prove that the MOX Pond was being used to produce Plutonium(the image of an exploded Housing Unit 4 should be enough evidence alone).
