Should Wolsong-1 reactor shut down?
Frequent malfunctions of a 29-year-old nuclear reactor in Korea have reignited a backlash against the government’s move to extend its use for anther ten years.

Environmentalists and activists are calling for the immediate shutdown of the Wolsong-1 reactor in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, claiming extended use of what they called the “accident-prone” reactor could lead to a nuclear disaster as seen in Japan’s Fukushima last year.
