found this an interesting twist

Independent scientist Leuren Moret states that she has found that the March 11, 2011 Fukushima nuclear tectonic event was in fact monitored by international HAARP partners (EISCAT) including UK, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Japan, China, Finland, and two guest scientists from Russia at the time it was occurring.

Nations, such as Japan and the U.S., are targeting their own citizens for depopulation.

EU to impose extra tariffs on Chinese solar panels

The European Union has decided to levy a tariff on Chinese-made solar panels, saying the Chinese imports are apparently being sold at unfairly low prices in Europe.

The European Commission, the EU's executive, decided on Tuesday to impose provisional anti-dumping tariffs on Chinese solar panels and related parts. Chinese solar products have an estimated 80 percent share of the EU market.

The average rate of the tariffs will be 12 percent for the time being, and will be gradually raised to 47 percent in August if no settlement is reached by then.

The decision is likely to draw a sharp reaction from China.

IAEA chief shows dissatisfaction over Iran

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency has complained of Iran's resistance to inspection.

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano spoke in Vienna on Monday to open an Agency board meeting.

He said Iran continues to install more centrifuges and increase its enriched uranium. He said the activities go against UN Security Council resolutions.

Amano also said negotiators have held 10 rounds of talks with Iran since January 2012 but that they have been going around in circles.

Report: Nuclear impact is top environment issue

A government report says the impact of the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011 remains serious and that concern over decontamination and radiation exposure should be immediately addressed.

This year's annual report on the environment was approved at a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

The report prioritizes reconstruction from the March 11th quake and tsunami and the nuclear accident they triggered.

It says large amounts of radioactive substances remain in the living environment more than 2 years since the accident. It calls decontamination of the affected areas a pressing issue.

Monticello found needing to improve external flooding mitigation

The Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant is one of the five oldest plants in the United States and hosts a single GE BWR-3 reactor in Monticello, Minnesota, on the banks of the Mississippi River. Xcel Energy, the utility which owns and operates the nuclear power plant is conducting power uprate studies which would increase the plants generating capacity from 613 megawatts to 700 megawatts. Currently, the plant is in the middle of its 26th scheduled refueling outage and power capacity expansion work is being conducted onsite.

On May 31st staff at Monticello were conducting a focused self-assessment of the external flooding mitigation standards in place at the nuclear plant, when it was determined that the current standards may not adequately protect critical equipment which are required to maintain safe shutdown from external probable maximum floods. The staff will have to set new compensatory measures in place ranging including procedural changes, additional barriers, and contingency actions.

IAEA experts examining ceiling collapse at Chernobyl nuclear power plant

The International Atomic Energy Agency has dispatched a delegation of experts to inspect the work at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant after the partial collapse of ceiling and wall constructions in the turbine room of the Number 4 reactor on February 12th, 2013.  The delegation will assess the status of cleanup operations, the supervision of building structures, the on-site safety culture, evaluate the consequences of the event, and plans to release a report of their investigation when completed.

Fukushima survey lists 12 confirmed, 15 suspected thyroid cancer cases
FUKUSHIMA, Japan, June 5, Kyodo

An ongoing study on the impact of radiation on Fukushima residents from the crippled atomic power plant has found 12 minors with confirmed thyroid cancer diagnoses, up from three in a report in February, with 15 others suspected to have cancer, up from seven, sources familiar with the matter said Tuesday.

The figures were taken from about 174,000 people aged 18 or younger whose initial thyroid screening results have been confirmed so far.

Researchers at Fukushima Medical University, which has been taking the leading role in the study, have so far said they do not believe that the most recent cases are related to the nuclear crisis. They point out that thyroid cancer cases were not found among children hit by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear accident until four to five years later.

HANFORD

Nuke dump an environmental wasteland

[snip]

A stainless steel tank the size of a basketball court lies buried in the sandy soil of southeastern Washington state, an aging remnant of US efforts to win World War II. The tank holds enough radioactive waste to fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool. And it is leaking.
For 42 years, tank AY-102 has stored some of the deadliest material at one of the most environmentally contaminated places in the country: the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. This complex along the Columbia River holds a storied place in American history. It was here that workers produced the plutonium for the atomic bomb dropped by the US on Nagasaki, Japan, in 1945 - effectively ending the second world war.

[end snip]

Read more: [link to www.3news.co.nz]

There isn't much to see at these tank farms. Gravel fields cover the tanks themselves. Exhaust pipes jut out of the ground above each of them. Underground, they hold a bubbling, brewing stew of radionuclides, hazardous chemicals and nitrates. Two radionuclides comprise much of the radioactivity: cesium-137 and strontium-90. Both take hundreds of years to decay, and exposure to either would increase a person's risk of developing cancer.

re-read the bold three times... sound familiar.... sound 'played down' currently?

AY-102 was the first double-walled tank, put into service in 1971 with an intended lifespan of 40 years. The tank contains chunks of solids - many common metals, including aluminum, nickel, lead, silver, copper, titanium and zinc - as well as other common elements. It also holds more than a dozen radionuclides, such as plutonium, uranium, strontium and cesium, all of which can cause cancers upon contact.

Nuclearism is a particular kind of Scientism. Scientism is not the same as Science. Scientism is Cultic. We are up against a global cult. The cult of nuclearism and its praxes are a very real cancer on our biosphere

As per the CNSC announcement below As the Nuclearist B S drones on and on and on ................
""The culture of nuclearism is one of the true 'universals' of our time. Like Coca-Cola and blue jeans, it does not permit cultural adaptation or edited versions. It is the same in Paris and Pokharan, Lahore and Los Alamos." .......... Nuclear rocket puts Mars within reach
[link to www.world-nuclear-news.org]

[snip]

One way to reduce the exposure of astronauts to radiation and other effects of space travel is to use faster spacecraft to cut the duration of their missions. A craft powered by a nuclear rocket engine could be the answer.

One approach uses a nuclear reactor to heat hydrogen to very high temperatures, which expands through a nozzle to generate thrust. NASA says that spacecraft powered by such engines generate higher thrust and are more than twice as efficient as conventional chemical rocket engines.

NASA has already reported the successful testing of power conversion and radiator systems for a nuclear power system it hopes to deploy on the Moon by 2020.

Russia is also working on a nuclear rocket that would generate electricity for a plasma thruster. The specific thrust of such a system could be 20 times that of current chemical rockets, cutting the time to travel to Mars to just over a month.
