EDF closes in on $22.4 billion U.K. nuclear deal

The U.K. government and Electricite de France SA are close to announcing a deal that would see the French power giant build and operate a pair of nuclear reactors costing about 14 billion pounds ($22.4 billion) on the west coast of England, people familiar with the matter said.
