Why would Benazir Bhutto claim in a BBC interview with David Frost that Omar Sheikh was the man that murdered Osama Bin Ladin?

1> She was purposefully perpetrating a terminological inexactitude.
2> She genuinely felt that her information was correct.
3> She 'mis-spoke'; I believe that was the BBC logic.

From what I recall, the BBC edited out that part of the interview in a subsequent airing of the Frost interview too.
