one morning i saw the DAYLIGHT suddenly SPEED UP !!!

early one morning i was in my car in a parking lot waiting for my brother to get out of work,it was "just beginning" to get light outside, but mostly still dark,now this is hard to put into words,but, you know how the darkness "slowly" turns into daylight,the way the morning "gradually brightens" into day,well this particular day i was looking out the window at the sky that was starting to get brighter, when suddenly the light seemed to speed up! it got brighter outside way faster than it should have! think about it this way, say total darkness is a 1 and total daylight is a 10, well, i saw the light in the sky go from a 3 to a 6, in one or two seconds! when it normally would take about 15 minutes to happen! i couldnt believe what i saw! but this did happen, my first thought was that "someone" or "something", was "asleep at the wheel"!!! or the, morning light "dial" was turned too quickly!!!sure looked that way... their wasnt a cloud in the sky... really strange !?!?!?
