If utube even lets it be uploaded (ya know they are going bonkers with the copyrights - I mean - that is advertisement for some good bands and everything, but then............people want free, and nothing in the end is really free.

I had hoarded a bunch of pills I was supposed to be taking to save for a sunny day. When leaving the help facility I drove down the highway going 90. (Banged up Toyota wouldn’t go faster.) Beautiful sunny day listening to Fast Car. Rolled down the window to feel the sun and threw them out. I did feel guilt though about them maybe ending up in the water supply.

Guess if I had to pick a theme song now it would just be the trendy pop gogo song. Same theme really. Just another highway.

The stretch between Phoenix and Tucson ain’t bad either. That’s where I slammed on the breaks to pull off the highway to see a team of wild horses.

(I also cried myself to sleep in the 7th grade when the Sooners lost to the Razarbacks in the Orange Bowl...lol)

Re: Different Strokes for Different Folks.. an open Music thread.
Thanks, but then I have to relearn how to play guitar, and I was never really a lead player, just rhythm, so the song is going to still take some time, although I have a different guitar part then the original (and the bass part is different and the piano part and the drum part - only so much you can do with twirling that dialing finger on a synth to play drums) and so............it will take some time yet. I wonder what I am doing some days with trying any of this again, it use to be seemingly easier when I was younger. Perhaps we (me) just drank too much and any of that.

But then with this weather, I guess I have another chance at filming (with my old videocam - not HD) another rain storm, but it probably will be a mild storm, not a green lightning storm like sometimes in the spring or summer.

I still am trying to make it better, but it's more like fumble fingers still at this time.

Definitely not this guy, but I can't really help but give this guy some credit although the camera person should not be (at least to me be getting the hits unless the artist might make some money at utube. I can not, well not hardly anything, because that is the law when retired for the first 5 years - and it ain't much (which to me is just another law that to me makes no sense when people have to quit working because of a health problem or just can not really find a job). I'll work on the screaming later (probably not, but then I doubt if I will be doing that much anyway).

Now this guy has got it down!

Hi, DoodleBug (ah, just signed out).
Well, have fun everyone.

(It's called I try to sing it again but it did not go so well, still a cold somewhat whatever it is. Have to see how it was, it was late or early in the morning.)
(got that cheap new piece of equipment for the mic. It helps to cut out background noise so have to listen.)

Re: Different Strokes for Different Folks.. an open Music thread.
Ah, did not sound as bad as I thought last night.

But, just making a point here (for some reason unknownst to me I guess).

About 50 years ago (yes back in the mid '60's when a high-school act) this guitar cost (with hardshell case) $425.

Now, wages have not gone up about 8 times as much, more perhaps with some (and with a lot of others way down) only about twice as much or perhaps a bit more depending.

[link to www.sweetwater.com]

This is appauling to me!
Well, enough babbing about the way it use to be.

I wonder sometimes, so not to depress anyone, but this is why people are buying way cheaper guitars nowadays. (the guitar now is from the custom shop and just a little different ES-345) then it use to be but even if some tuning keys are better and such, it is the same guitar).

The resources and all this environment stuff just can not add this much to the price of anything and have people buy it anymore.

Well, that's my rant for today!

Have fun, I am off to, I guess, do some work.

Might as well enjoy the free videos to listen to, tomorrow they will proabably want to change it, and then paying for anything will probably go out the door.

Oh, quite a few years back I had to sell it at a guitar antique show. It needed some work, but that comes around from Texas every year (goes to different cities around) where people buy older guitars (used no doubt) but not costing as much.
