The term derives from the Ancient Greek words, meta, meaning beyond or after, and noia, meaning perception or understanding or mind.

Yes. That George Clinton.
Not a crazy hat. A leather/suede, banded fedora that I wore with a hawk feather.

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task
the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.

Re: Different Strokes for Different Folks.. an open Music thread.
In 1984, 'Phil Gnarley and the Tough Guys' (local Madison band) rented out a big house we called 'The Hole'.
One party, (a particularly memorable one for other reasons) Brian Ritchie from Violent Femmes showed up.
He played 1 or 2 tunes with Phil before partying and hanging out.
I was so cooked, I know I talked to him, but all I remember about him is all the girls around him and his enormous hands. haha.

The Friendly Tavern (now Baldwin St. Grill) sits across from Smart Studios in Madison.
Shirley and the boys used to come over frequently.
My friend James owned the Friendly. ;-`)

Nothing sordid here, darts, drinks, and small talk.
They were all nice, down-to-Earth folks.
