I know they serve a need, but really??  Who's paying you to stir up hatred? 1 in 7 Americans are now on food stamps thanks to others undermining our jobs through importation of cheap products into this country and through outsourcing our jobs overseas. The system is screwed, as you have eloquently pointed out. However, the problem in this scenario is not an isolated event. The system we have enables those that are abusive to continue to do so. What you mentioned (as valid as it may be) is another discussion. Since being laid off and using your food stamp card as it is meant to be used, then you have nothing to be offended at.
