I'd move, if I were you. Doesn't sound like a real white friendly place to live. Seems you know a "shit ton" of Mexicans with Food Stamps...where do you live, East LA or San Antonio?

Haven't you heard of white flight...sounds like you're eligible for the program.

Bigot.

Sounds just like southern Delaware to me--I see spanish-speaking people with overflowing crts using SNAP cards every time I shop--in fact the only peoplke I ever see with full carts are all using cardss that say "Delaware" at the top...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1444899

So just to be clear, you can actually "SEE" all these cards? You can read the word "DELAWARE" at the top? I'd elbow you back to your place behind your nosy little cart in the grocery line. But I'm admittedly white, with a bit of attitude. Amazing.

I go to the store ... yes, in godless California with all the liberals and (assumed by those in THE KNOW) illegals and Mexicans and such ... and I have yet to observe how someone pays for their food. They could all be EBT cards for all I know.

We are so liberal and affluent in these here parts that we have those machine thingys elevated on a little stand with little shields around them so most of us slide a card through and unless someone is gawking over someone's shoulder it would be difficult to tell what kind of card it is...debit/credit/EBT (E stands for electronic)...you punch a button and an ID so some idiot doesn't steal your pin number...or know how you paid.

Maybe in Delaware they have flashing lights or something to alert the glp taxpayers in the line?

Yet, you can see the "Delaware" on that itty bitty card right there in plain King's English. And Palin can see Alaska from her back porch...LOL.

This IS worrying about ourselves. That's OUR money they're eating. Money stolen at gunpoint, from our families.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 776713

Can you be more precise?

Do the police protect you and your dittohead insanity...the rest of us pay for that.

Does the fire engine roll when "folk", surely not you, go to sleep with a cigarette and the house burns down...the rest of us pay for that.

Do your kids get at least a half-assed education ... reluctantly because it does little good...not only do we pay for that but someone like me got stuck with your little ungratefully parented brat in a public school classroom.

I'm not going to go on about the free library...it's clear that is wasted money for certain "types".

Grocery receipts...bottom of the intellectual barrel.

Grade ... "F" ... Fail.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1100144

Everyone gets the school system--but only house owners pay "property tax" for it.
But only mooches milk the foodstamp program, and again only those who pay federal incomne tax pay for the USDA program that provides that funding to the states to buy votes with.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1444899

So, let me get this straight. Renters don't deserve an education...like they don't pay property tax in their rent...like the property owners are just liberal dudes and help them out? Fail, again.

Federal income tax ... funding to buy state votes? Illegals can't vote....how do you buy their votes, with Pesos? And roughly only 35% of legals vote. Probably, say another 35% bitch and moan and make like they have a brain.

Please don't tell me which state you live in...assuming it's in one of the USA. It would be embarrasing.

Here's a creative idea. Why not make B of A and Wells Fargo and Chase executives, et al, stand in a line with their needy little debit cards keyed right into your diminishing bank account so you can look over their shoulders and approve or disapprove.

Oh, that's right. They're rich and white and multi-lingual (global, you know) live in mansions and have lunch with or own dossiers on YOUR "elected official" those who the unwashed masses only see on teevee.

Let's beat up on the poor and the needy and the disabled and all the other unfortunates from whom they undoubtedly stole from for sport.

If you have enough, be grateful and shut up. If you have more than enough, be grateful and share.

Or, take your peasant mentality back to when there were no Liberals ... the Dark/Middle Ages.

Well this IS real...but the guy got caught trying to resell the stuff and is looking at 5 years...which will only cost the system more money..but hey sense of justice is restored, right?

Before we get worked up about small-time fraud (which is still deplorable, don't get me wrong) like this. Maybe we should be more concerned about the fraud being committed on scale millions this size...like the missing 9 trillion and then move on to the smaller stuff...like this $150 fraud.

Looks fake to me as the food stamp letters are offset and underneath it show account with the last 4 numbers showing which is what you get when you pay with Visa or MC.
But then again I'm not from the US so don't know what a food stamp receipt should look like
 Quoting: Aharvnz

Food stamps are issued via a 'card' now, that is just recharged.
 Quoting: Gradient

that is true, but I have worked as a cashier at two different grocery stores, and it doesn't look like this receipt...I'm saying it's fake.

In my state you don't even have to show Id to vote--would "inconvenience" the multiple voters..and the ballot is printed in Spanish.
Right now housing purchase prices, still falling, make it cheaper to rent than "own" (you don't own until you make the 360th payment) and pay property tax of 6-10000 a year on a modest middleclass house, almost all of which pays for schoools for breeders who poop out babies that WIC feeds before they are born, SNAP afterward, Medicaid and SCHIP pay for the medical care of, and often Section 8 pays for the rent.
You know--leech-mooches, who breed like rabbits, professionally, and milk every program.
One child you need public assistance for should be the limit, with a chemical sterilization agreement required until you no longer take public money.
Stop encouraging irresponsible breeders by incentivizing pooping out additional mutt bastards to get a raise.
And deny any public assistance to anyone with a drug conviction, or who thinks they can "afford" tattoos but want me and other workers to buy their soda and potato chips and lobster

This is very common. People weasel their way into getting Food Stamps / EBT and use their cash to feed their alcohol/drug/gambling addictions, rather than actually attempting to fix the real problem - their addictions.

Re: And speaking of food stamps, how is this ok?
I will say....Food stamps are great for people that REALLY need the help, but no one (who has half a brain) can deny that there are people that abuse it.

I know this couple in my town...neither of them work. They have two kids, with another on the way. They live by getting food stamps, cash benefits and other stuff. For example: to keep their electric from getting shut off they have their daughter's pediatrician write a note saying that the girl needs breathing treatments (she does)....here in Vermont you can use a doc's note for up to 90 days in one year..so there's three months..then during the winter months there is another program where if you bring in the shut off notice, this agency will pay it for you, provided they have enough funds (received through donations)....they use this same program to pay for their heating fuel too....that program can be used up to 6 times (3 for elec., 3 for heat) from November 1st until March 31st....let's see..what else..oh they have section 8 housing=free rent. And people have actually heard them BRAG about how they can get by without working....the worst part is..the cash benefit? Since they have no bills (rent is paid, lights are paid, fuel is paid), they can "afford" satellite TV, internet, a cell phone for each of them, not to mention a ton of electronic stuff....

Here in VT, if you get cash help you're required to find work within 6 months, unless you have a reason you can't work. Guess what? Two doctors notes later, they got exempt from that requirement too....the whole town talks about them...its f=ing ridiculous! And, they keeping having kid after kid to get more and more $.

Sorry for the rant, but it's just frustrating. People like this abuse the system and take away from people who truly need the help. My husband broke his foot back in September, and only took a week off, and has continued to work despite the doctor telling him he should be doing "light duty.".....he's too proud; to stubborn and neither of us wants to have to turn to public assistance....we were on it once..years ago when he had to have a surgery on his shoulder (yes he's accident prone!! haha), and I swore back then I'd never do it again...but damn when I see people like this...it's just not right.

Re: And speaking of food stamps, how is this ok?
My cousin eats like this on food stamps. She cooks lobster and filet mignon for her "man" and herself then makes her 6 yes I said 6 kids eat hamburger helper. I am not against food stamps in anyway if you really need them. It gets under my skin when they abuse the system that was meant to help those who really need it. She would also sell her foodstamps for cash by taking her neighbors to the store with her. Every 5 years she pops out another innocent kid to keep the money flowing. In California there is a 5 year limit for cash. All different fathers too. They are alcoholics on top of all that. I called CPS to try to save the kids but she is really good at convincing people it's all good in her home. I gave up and cut all ties with her.

Same when I was a kid...my parents were poor, but we ate well thanks to my dad hunting a lot, and them growing a huge garden every year. I'm thinking about starting gardening myself next year (well assuming we're all still here, lol)..would have this year but I just had a baby in January and he keeps me busy. =)

Oh I've seen people here do that to! Sell the food stamps for cash! Irritates me! I actually had a friend..well I wouldnt call her a friend..our kids were in pre school together...she asked me one day if I wanted to buy 200 dollars worth of groceries for 125 dollars because she needed to pay her cell phone bill!! I kindly said no thanks, and later called and made a report, but of course nothing happened.....
