It gets anywhere from 95 to 100+ in GA at the end of July and thru August. 70-75 in the morning too. That's just typical southern summer weather. We have already had temps right at 100 this month. My sis-in-law loves in Qatar and it's real hot there she says,100+. It's summer!!!

Yes..we get weather like this for a period in August, as well..but hell this has been all June..now its going into the first of July and they're calling for the deadly heat stuff..

No it is not till we have 75-85% humidity to go along with it then ya can't breath. Heat indexes of 107 this weekend means work outside,starting at 430am till about 10 am then retreat to a 20 pack of Miller.

Crazy..Ive noticed this as well.

Sorry for being a little off topic but it might be a good time to mention pets.

Animals also need protection. Dogs shouldn't be left in a car without you even if the air conditioner is running. If the car stalls, the dog can die within minutes.

Both indoor and outdoor pets need clean, fresh water. Lots of it in the heat.

Horses need water and a salt block.

It helps chickens to have a fine mister of water available to cool them.

Some outdoor dogs might be better indoors for a while if the heat is excessive.

Animals count on us, as do neighbors and the elderly. Stay safe, everyone. Time to go work in the garden before it gets too warm. 8)

mix its a very refreshing drink in the heat

And so miserable in Philadelphia that a meteorologist summed up the forecast in three words: “considerably more disgusting” than the day before.

“We are seeing conditions that we normally don’t have until August,” said Jim Keeney, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

At 113 degrees, downtown L.A. hits all-time record high


It's not just you. Monday turned out to be the hottest day ever recorded -- at least in downtown L.A.

At 12:15 p.m., the weather station at USC hit the 113-degree mark, breaking the old all-time high of 112 set on June 26, 1990.

It makes Monday the hottest day ever since records in downtown L.A. started being kept in 1877, said Stuart Seto of the National Weather Service.

LAST YEAR WAS HOT I MEAN HOT, IT WAS SO HOT AND DRY, I SAW A FIRE HYDRANT CHASING A DOG!!!!

Here in SW Idaho we've had a fairly cool and wet spring and early summer, right now it's 59 and may hit 80 today. Our heat when we get it can be around 92-100+ but we have real low humidity and that makes a big difference.

I was raised in Mo. and have plenty of "kin" back there, not for me anymore I like the NW. I remember waking up and sweating like a pig a 7AM....sticky nasty, the best place to be when its like that is in the river or lake.

Yes..it really does get nasty here..right now, its already 79, at 8 am in the morning..sighs..this is going to be a nasty nasty day...

Been out on a dozer since about 5 this morning.
Come on over we have about another 2 hours to go the only problem with high heat is that every 4 beers I have to drink a bottle of water just to stay hydrated.

OP did you happen to see the video posted on a different thread a few days ago - youtube about 10 + years ago some old white dude saying - "well we know taht the earth is expecting some unusual things in our galaxy, it is the law here...and our sun, the problem, our sun - that is going to be an issue - and then, it ends"

Yes..make sure you drink lots of water..I dont drink beer until the sun goes down..cant even imagine drinking it in this heat..
