Canada to transfer decision-making power from local governments to multinational corporations!
"Unlike the earlier Free Trade Agreement and North American Free Trade Agreement , CETA would reach into provincial and municipal policy-making and purchasing, Moist said. It would seriously threaten local job creation and "Buy-Local" policies; it would encourage privatization of Canada's drinking water and wastewater services (no matter what local citizens wanted); and it would cause prescription drug costs to skyrocket by at least $2.8 billion per year."

SHIN THIS PIT, EH?!wtf
Benjamin Franklin left the Constitutional Convention in 1787, He was approached by a Mrs. Powell, who asked him, "What have you given us, Dr. Franklin?"
"A Republic," he replied, "If you can keep it.

"If you want to make someone angry, tell him a lie; if you want to make him furious, tell him the truth. All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed, and third, it is accepted as self-evident". - A. Schopenhauer Philosopher"

"Sixty per cent of Canadians oppose opening up government purchasing to competition to European companies. The EU wants CETA to include provisions which would ban Canadian governments at all levels, including municipal, from having procurement policies favour local, regional or Canadian sources."

People here should actually call you communist for wanting to keep water nationalized. But since it is done by NAFTA, they will now support you in having a communist government who has nationalized assets, like water.

Well, I hope one day all basic need would be nationalized again and in control of local government. So I wish you good luck.
