At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul." |

A bit west here we had a sky that made everything look peach colored. It was an unusual baby blue at the northern horizon, then a wide strip of orange above it, then a strip of pink above that, then another strip of a different blue. It was like a giant rainbow covering the whole sky! No storms in the area. |

The virtue of courage is a prerequisite for the practice of all other virtues, because otherwise one is virtuous only when virtue has no cost. There are times when something needs to be done, and yet we know that if we step up and do this needful thing, we will pay a heavy personal price. -C.S. Lewis |

My son and I noticed that, too. You weren't the only one "geeking out". Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1373078Totally YES! Detroit was in Ambervision...like those bad UVblocking sunglasses from the 80's. Bizarre Golden glow spilling in through the windows. That alone was freaky, and I posted on facebook about it, and by the time I was done, the Red came. In a way, the Amber was almost freakier than the red. I'm not too fond of Signatures. Why would I want to end every post the same way? |

"Bizarre Golden glow spilling in through the windows." Yes! That's what caused me to take a look outside--the color spilling through the window. I mean, it was definitely a noticeable, unusual hue for all of us to be in awe of it. Bizarre Ambervision--great description! |

Oddly, I never saw the green hue that normally accompanies foul weather. Maybe I missed it. Im just a bit north of metro airport. Strange skies indeed. And like in the video, everything was taking on the skies color. It was surreal inside my vehicle. I saw a guy outside snapping pics, he was in front of a local bar. Probably a fellow glper lol!! |

The air molecules scatter the blue light more effectively than the red part of the sunlight. This causes the orange-like colour of the setting or rising sun. But to generate an intensively red sky, there also have to be lots of water droplets in the air. Not only water droplets but also dust particles (maybe from a volcanic eruption) can contribute to colourful twilight effects. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1443318There's one of these in every crowd too. |

The problem being Detroit is a fair distance from the tropics and cold air sliding underneath from Canada could create a deluge of rain. |

Quoting: ajkThat is the silliest thing I've ever heard. Do you campaign against nativity displays at Christmas time too? "Wrath of Goddy" means it is like what I'd imagine Wrath of God to look like. It doesn't literally mean "Wrath of God." The whole purpose of adding "dy" to the end is to make this dinstinction. That said, Jesus is your only hope and salvation. Get some. ^^^^THIS^^^^ WELL-SAID! Five stars for your thread, OP! But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love. |

This camera's color reproduction is very accurate. 1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. 3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? Matthew 16 |
