Well, I have several UK friends and from what I've seen Brits do NOT do the whole emergency preparedness thing. Never.

I love this whole zombie promotion because it gets people's attention and wakes them up to being prepared and if that's what's needed to get some of you folks out there buying water then yay!

Damn creative I think. I wish I would have come up with it.

Well scientists have been working on a zombie virus bio weapon for years.
So perhaps this "humor" is a subtle way of actually bringing about awareness to those who's ears and minds are open and alert.

Why is it that when someone tells you that there’s billions of stars in the universe, you believe them. But if they tell you there’s wet paint somewhere you have to touch it?

creepy and inappropriate. and one wonders why they chose that to "joke" about. and since when and why did the city council add public joking to their duties?
and didn't some other place, maybe usa, come out with something similar a week or 2 ago?

Same happend in Leicester not so long ago .... this is getting weird now !

Leicester City Council 'not ready' for zombie attack

The FOI request said "councils across the kingdom" should be prepared for a potential zombie attack
A worried member of the public has forced Leicester City Council to admit it is unprepared for a zombie invasion.

The authority received a Freedom of Information request which said provisions to deal with an attack, often seen in horror films, were poor.

The "concerned citizen" said the possibility of such an event was one that councils should be aware of.

"We've had a few wacky ones before but this one did make us laugh," said Lynn Wyeth, head of information governance.

The Freedom of Information Act allows a right of access to recorded information held by public authorities.

The only thing even closely related to a "zombie" (but not undead) event could be the release of some engineered super contagious rabies virus that drags the intelligence of a human being down to pure instinct and them getting all aggressive and such. Like Resident Evil or 28 days later. cool2

i love everything vampire or supernatural when it comes to movies but when i saw 'dawn of the dead' it totally freaked me out. i guess i don't take the other stuff as 'real case scenario' but 'dawn of the dead' although was a great movie it haunted me for days. the way that woman woke up the next morning to the neighborhood little girl attacking her husband is just eerie.

In the near future, "zombie" will be a code word for starving, sick, irradiated poor people who have no RFID chip and therefore can't acquire access to state-distributed food, medicine, and shelter.

Huge mobs of people who are enraged by having their lives stolen out from under them by greedy, hedonistic corporate interests will take to the streets. In a world where the multinational corporations have overtaken the remains of the civilizations they destroyed by design, there will be no recognition of human rights or sovereignty.

In the near future, all zombies must be eliminated.

Maybe it is true that when the Planet ELE NIN Comet hailstone passes nearby, people's brains will be fried due to the magnetic interference caused by the big planet and no sun for at least three days...

So we will be left with Zombie types, having no idea or memory of who they are, and then they will need to feed.....

Sounds like the city council needs to have their jobs taken away from them from wasting tax payers money.

Or better yet put them in jail for fraud. Because that is ultimately what it is. They paid a printing shop thousands of dollars to print it.

What do you want to bet the printing shop is owned by one of their friends.
