Re: Comet Elenin is a low mass object!
I would also like to ask if astro thinks these particles could affect our DNA MOECULE. In a way that they work like off and on switches. That could change our bilogical make up to a point that we would change mentaly as well as phyiscaly over time. Mabey even to affect other unseen planes of existences around us. And could this be why there is so much activities and interest in the sciences.

lol man you do have a wondering mind! I commend you on that sir! Im not sure how an astronomer would go about answering such a question but then again im not astro! Me on the other hand would think it to be a good thing if it did personally!

...

The mass has nothing to do with its orbital period.
 Quoting: Astronut

NASA agent at work again.

why do you waste your time to explain this. if its bullshit with elenin ignore it. let some guys have fun with it.

if its dangerous and will have an effect on earth, nobody can change it. so why bother explaining it in a conspiracy forum.

go to guys with knowledge, share your opinions with them. but I guess you just want to be a winner guy thats why you are here. because your astronomy collegues ignore and hate you for being such a sciencetard and only believe what you see with your telescope and can calculate with any formula.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1460978

You'll never get it. It's beyond you.

But basically...some of us (to varying degrees) are knowledgeable about this subject (astronomy). We see other people (fear-mongerers with varying agendas) shamelessly, wrecklessly, and wantonly taking advantage of the anxieties, fears, and ignorance of those who don't know any better....and we find it kinda disgusting.

At least I do. I can only speak for myself.

Plus....it's fun. I like it. It's amusing. And interesting. And every once in a while I encounter someone cool who either wants to learn more or just wants to talk shop.

I know better. I see people taking advantage of other people. So I do something. It's one of my charming hobbies. Wrap your head around it.

So to the "Killer-Elenin"-ites: good luck with the fear-mongering. Only one of us can be right about this and you can't stop the calendar- eventually ALL your cards WILL be on the table....What will you do when that comet passes by harmelessly with the breeze this Fall...? :)

In the meantime maybe consider picking up a book and autodidacting your way out of this uneducated, psuedo-astronomical, Elenin-hole you're in. You'll feel better. I promise. You don't have to worry about...well, non-existent things. Which, considering all the ACTUAL "things" worth of worrying about, is a pretty tragic way to be...
 Quoting: Sing, I'll sway

While your knowledge in Astronomy is appreciated, most of us do not have the advantage of that kind of an education.
We tend to use the psychics and the predictions made in this direction. Ignoring that would be foolish.
One instance you can't ignore is the prophecies by Mother Shipton:

A fiery dragon will cross the sky
Six times before this earth shall die
Mankind will tremble and frightened be
for the sixth heralds in this prophecy.

And there are others that link in to this era, this period, this year, and these events , AND this comet.

While I appreciate the contributions of Astronomy, I realize that astronomers and Physicists on Earth, are exposed to a very narrow spectrum of these sciences.
There is much more out there, beyond our understanding, beyond our REMOTEST understanding.
For example electrons behaving differently while being watched, and behaving differently when not being watched (particle and wave theories) is in the realm of Quantum Physics. So are many other things.
Planets behave differently under a two-Sun influence.
The whole Physics of a twin Sun system is vastly altered.

Merely peering through a telescope, and using instruments to jot things down is not going to solve the problems we have.

People who post things regarding Elenin being this and that, I agree not everyone is right, many ARE fear mongers, but thats just one more bit of dis-info in our library that we scratch out.

In a positive light, they do bring possibilities into our consciousness.

So my advice, don't diss things immediatly.
 Quoting: abhie

I hear you. And in principle I agree with a lot of what you say.

I consider myself an avowed, all-inclusive-skeptic. I don't extend my trust or faith towards anything I either haven't read about, or don't understand, or haven't seen or experienced myself. My "faith" is...hard-earned. I'm not much of a believer in, say, psychic-phenomenon- basically because I've never experienced it. But I don't shit on those who genuinely claim to actually have. I can only go by my own experience.

The veracity of my post you quoted was mostly my reaction to these ridiculous, unfound, never-proven allegations of "shilldom". It never fails to amaze me, how convinced people become that they're being "shilled" by "paid shills".

I don't believe that science knows everything. Can prove everything. And has the last word on everything. But SOME things CAN be decisively understood according to "science".

This "Killer-Elenin"-situation is unimaginably confounding for someone who is even remotely-educated, astronomy-wise.

I can't stress it enough.

It's surreal.

I literally can't BELIEVE people are...basically, falling for it.

I hope (HOPE) when October comes around and Elenin's making it way back out to the Oort Cloud (or whereever) A LOT of "Killer-Elenin"-ites will have learned a thing or 2.....(?)

And I mean when I say I don't think it's FAIR that fear-mongerers are taking advantage of people's ignorance. Most "Killer-Elenin"-believers, I bet you anything, had never even HEARD of a "brown dwarf" before all this.

Hence, HOW the fear-mongerers are able to sway them.

Meanwhile the first time I saw Elenin was being pimped as a "brown dwarf" I nearly fell over with astonishment.

It's important to counteract against the fear-mongerers. Because nothing good arises from watching people (with an agenda) making other people stupid.

Re: Comet Elenin is a low mass object!
Hi Astronut,

Thanks for the information on Elenin, which I agree is not a brown dwarf for obvious reasons as you have stated many times before (although people did have me concerned a few months ago.. bahhh!).

The Elenin / Nibiru theories are fascinating though and I'd love to be able to trace the thing back to the roots of where it actually started from.

There are also indeed many things interesting about Elenin, and the hype and interest that has built up around this low mass / smaller and less brighter than Nasa are reporting object is staggering.

From what I can see there do appear to be some strange coincidences with comet Elenin - things such as the dates it reaches certain distances and alignments, the well reported earthquake theories and many others.

Is it possible that there is more to this low mass object than meets the eye? Or is comet Elenin simply a distraction to some unforeseen or neglected happening in space that is far more important?

We do also have other objects passing close to the earth this year, through the same time period. Is it possible that one of these objects is far more important and should be receiving more attention and research... an object such as Asteroid 2005 YU55 ( [link to neo.jpl.nasa.gov] ) ?!?

Got to love the polarity of views on this forum though and the great topics that spring up... never a dull moment eh! tounge

Don't be sold so easily on this. It nice to think this is all a bad dream, and im sure most of us would really really like it to end up that way. Peoples opinions are so easily swayed by those who offer an easy alternative. Confusing people with information they cant even understand can be a very effective tool in persuasion.

Astroshill here is just trying to sell everyone with his product. If i was being paid 75000+ a year to tell people a comet/dwarf/nibiru doesn't exist, then i could easily go against my better judgement and spew off all sorts of information to support my story.

Bad cloud cover, and a "off-season" for space viewing is nothing but an excuse to not have to show any truthful information to the public on this, until its too late.

The only thing this thread is good for IMO, is to find out who are the paid shillbots, and who are the real people out there who aren't so easily convinced.

Wheres all these unnamed comets smashing into the sun coming from? Why is SOHO deleting images of these? Orbit diagrams show elenin getting closer to the sun now, and it makes perfect sense a few of the chunks in its tail would stray off and smash into the sun!

There are a number of areas in the earth where anomalous remnants of past pole shifts continue to disturb the earths magnetic grid. To me, thats clear evidence that every time this thing comes through, it forces a large scale pole shift, and on it's way out, the earth stabilizes back in tune with the sun.

Look at what is going on in the world!?! Massive increase in earthquake and volcanic activity. The areas around the poles are starting to see these changes first hand.

You want to call BS on the inuit people? Why would they lie? Do YOU live in the north pole? Didn't think so. These people have been there for generations, and they are describing the beginnings of a large scale pole-shift in progress!

The earth doesn't just switch poles because it feels like it. It takes a VERY LARGE MASS, with a VERY HIGH GRAVITATIONAL INFLUENCE to actually steal the dominant pull over the earth and tilt the poles away from the sun...

IT TAKES A BINARY STAR TO ALTER POLARITY PEOPLE, AND THATS FACT!!!

Cunning plan -
brain fuk humans over generations, teach them the same old same old for years and years, get them to specialise in same old same old at institutions, give them certs and diplomas and stuff to reafirm they are experts and know all there is to know about their special field.
anybody come up with a new theory, the "experts" pull out their credentials and say no, you dont know, I do because I have a paper that says so and lots of others like them, with the paper will back them up and have done for hundreds of years.
It's like systemic putting blinkers on, the certified, diploma weilding, degree holding exerts are unable to look outside the square or entertain new information or possibilities, its in all areas of knowledge, medicine, astrology, physics, government, social engineering bla bla bla.
The disdain or disrespect the likes of these experts display towards the layman, is laughable and pitifull IMO.

There is alot to be said for an un manipulated mind !!!

Seems all the cleverness of this modern world is at a crumbling point.
If the foundations are unstable, good chance the house will fall down, dont matter how flash the appliances are or how much poisons in the air/ water etc.
Due to --- Experts ?!!!!

of course not, because its easier to dismiss elenin and all the related issues by avoiding discussion of E.U.T. which is very relevant to the full context of Elenin.

There are people literally fleeing to the mountains because they think this comet is actually a massive planet or brown dwarf.
 Quoting: Astronut

And you'll be one of them soon once you realize what others are warning about that ELENIN is a cover-story and diversion for the brown dwarf thats bringing up the rear.

I don't, but I'd really like to not derail this thread into an EU debate.
 Quoting: Astronut

of course not, because its easier to dismiss elenin and all the related issues by avoiding discussion of E.U.T. which is very relevant to the full context of Elenin.

What can you learn in this thread? its another theory from a hobby astronomer. worth to me like every other theory. he has better arguments. nothing else.

to me its still a comet 3-4km in size and we will see what happens when it comes close.

Nibiru around 23 times of the mass of earth and is a Terrestrial planet with 85% of its surface covered with water but has a fusion process within its core.

This process, occuring at a much lower level, is similar to our Sun. In our Sun, there is a smaller proportion heavy elements to hydrogen nuclei present within the core compared to Nibiru. This allows the fusion process to proceed at a rate where the energy produced overwhelms its mass dissipation rate, consequential there is a build up of energy, resulting in a lit stellar object. Within the Nibiru, the fusion process is contained to a very small area in the center core where the force of gravity provides sufficient compression of the hydrogen nuclei to fuse into other elements, most notably helium. The fusion process, dampened to a very slow burn by a larger proportion of heavy elements (mainly iron resulting in a power magnetic field) to hydrogen nuclei. Energy is released in a controlled manner and transferred to the surface. The energy originating from the Nibiru's core is absorbed by the magma flowing near it. This moves the magma to an extremely excited state; its lower density pushes the magma towards the surface. Immense fissures in the surface crust (mostly under the oceans) acts like pressure relief values, allows the magma to be exposed and interact with the surface environment. As the molten matter in the magma cools, it moves from an excited state down to a state of equilibrium a chemical process, and energy is released in the form of light and heat. In the case of light, the majority of is dispersed in wavelengths near the red end of the spectrum. The rate of heating of the crust is dependant upon the conductivity and thickness of the crust.

Orbit inclination (from ecliptic)- This differs depending on what point Nibiru is viewed. If outside the moderate particle density of this solar system then it approaches approximately 11 degrees below the ecliptic. Once the Anomaly encounters a certain point of particle density as it enters the solar system, it changes to a 32 degree approach.

Orbit eccentricity - Parabolic to Hyperbolic

Nibiru radius - 24,000km

Albedo - The surface of the it is mostly water therefore shares similar reflective properties to Earth’s oceans. However, it is shrouded with cosmic debris which affects incoming and outgoing light.

My calculations are factual. I really don't care what you think of my reputation. I don't even care about the low rating of this thread, I know I'm right. This isn't about seeking approval, it's about exposing the truth.

Call me arrogant all you want, I really don't care, this fall everyone will see for themselves that I was right. I'm sure in their frustration they'll grasp at any straw they can find, any earthquake at all no matter how ordinary. But the doom everyone's hoping for will not come. I'll still be called a shill, of course, they'll say it was a "psy-op" to make me look trustworthy or whatever. They can say whatever they want, but even if they never admit it, they'll know deep down that I really did know what I was talking about.

This morning I noticed a change in my clocks. Could have happened last night--not sure. In short I have 3 battery operated clocks, one that runs on house current and 2 cell phones.

The 2 cell phones match time exactly and all the other clocks match each other exactly, but are 3 minutes behind the cell phones. All my clocks are always right on the money and match my cell phones exactly. Maybe nothing to do with your comet, but its worth noting. I'm in New England.

Re: Comet Elenin is a low mass object!

 Quoting: Sing, I'll sway

Couldn't agree more. Astronomers wouldn't be easily fooled by the Killer Comet part. Fear mongering must pay well, or it wouldnt be pushed so hard.

So Astro,

based on your calculations of Elenin's mass, would you be so kind as to let us know how fast Elenin will have to pass the sun in order to attain break away speed? I'm not a physicist but I know it is some measure of torque.
