If you took everynes money it probably would not cover the debt The DEBT is the US is well over $3 QUADRILLION, which is well over 3000 Trillion. Your income taxes go to the Federal Reserve in payment of massive debt and not to our treasury. The treasury continues to borrow, because the small amount of taxes it does receive hardly covers this countries bills.

If Congress imposed a 100 percent tax, taking all earnings above $250,000 per year, it would yield the princely sum of $1.4 trillion. That would keep the government running for 141 days, but there's a problem because there are 224 more days left in the year.

Taking corporate profits would keep the government running for another 40 days, but that along with confiscating all income above $250,000 would only get us to the end of June.

America would have great prosperity if we cut ALL gov programs by 50%, eliminated all taxes on manufacturing (they would return), and closed our borders.

Obama (the administration) is targeting the wealthy...big oil, jet owners, etcetc. But he is the one who placed the target on the firong range. He set them up with subsidies and bailouts. A tax break on private jets was part of his recovery package.
