Ron Paul: "America's AAA Rating Not Worth Saving" Because "We Are Insolvent"
The man who yesterday got into a heated argument with the chairsatan on whether gold is or isn't money (a Bernanke response already mocked to death so we will leave it alone), shares his take on the most recent bout of scaremongering by Moody's (with S&P doing in private today what Moody's did in public yesterday) with Bloomberg TV's Erik Schatzker. When asked if the American AAA rating is worth saving, his reply: "probably not. I think if you had a market evaluation on this issue, it should have marked down a long time ago." The reason the downgrade will come regardless is that "ultimately that is going to happen anyway because we are insolvent." The big picture: "I think it is part of the game to make sure everyone is fearful so we continue this process. Long term, I think raising the debt limit is a negative because it delays the inevitable. It will give us much bigger problems down the road. Today and tomorrow, if Moody's does not lower the bond rating, it will be helpful in the short run. In the long run, it will be more devastating because Congress will go back to their old habits again." Said otherwise: Moody's is concerned about US debt now, but is not concerned if US were more tomorrow - sheer idiocy.

The truth hurts. It's sad, but true.

Ron Paul is the most honest man in Washington. If Ron Paul says it, it's the truth.

I trust Ron Paul more than any of those goons that call themselves our "leaders".

Ron Paul for President 2010.

Re: Ron Paul: "America's AAA Rating Not Worth Saving" Because "We Are Insolvent"
Ron Paul is correct. This "spending-money-we-don't-have" experiment with
fractional reserve phony funny money is not sustainable and will end badly.

History is replete with examples of craziness such as this, and it always ended with the destruction of an empire. But as is well known by scholars...

what we learn from history, is that people do not seem to learn from history!

Currencies lose value when they are degraded by endless creation out of proportion to real production. The only solution that is sustainable is to
back the currency with HARD ASSETS that cannot be created out of thin air on a whim, but instead represent real tangible, not subjective, growth in the industry
of a nation.

If those idiots would put aside their political party agendas and actually work together, we might figure out a way to beat this. But their salaries would be the first paycut to be initiated. Wouldn't cure the problem but it would be a start in the right direction. Illegal aliens should be made to pay taxes on their money. Since the government is so all fired ready to "help" them, instead of deporting them, put them in jail, let them go out to work and make employers turn over wages to an accountant who would take their taxes out and give them their net pay. Just like an american citizen has to do. I'd even quit bitching about their illegal status!

Re: Ron Paul: "America's AAA Rating Not Worth Saving" Because "We Are Insolvent"
Theirs a REASON why our founders wrote into the constitution to use ONLY gold/silver as money. Because they KNEW using a fiat currency and a private bank to issue people it's money would bring us to this point. Well....here we are.

We KNOW freedom, Liberty, & Capitalism works. The only problem with it is, it has to be "well policed at top," so they don't screw it up for everyone else.
In this regard maybe we should be like China. Anyone caught cheating the system up top, (Embezzling, stealing...etc) get's shot! That would be a STRONG deterrent for people.

Sadly true about the script. Wish there was something to be done about that situation. If it continues, we are surely lost. But circumstances tie our hands as we cannot vote on honest elections because they are not honest to begin with. A vicious circle.

But we can dream: Ron Paul in 2012.

Minus the profanity, well said. Heres a clue: Hes a Freemason! (Satanist)

Never trust people, especially politicians.
Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed." John 6:27-58

You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
-James 4:4

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
-Galatians 6:7

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
-Colossians 2:8

Rev 13:9-10 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; (Betraying your family and friends) he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. (Guns!) Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

I like Ron Paul's ideas. but noting will change if he is elected.
Everyone on GLP should know how it works by now.

The new President is sworn in and then sat down in a room and told "this is how it is".

Either they follow suit, or they are assinated!!!
