Alright G.L.Pers..how can I mail care packages to Japanese refugees?

ask the red cross .I know as of a month ago they were not getting the geiger counters donated to them .the govt will not release them

I don't trust the Red Cross...I would like to send cards, dice,snacks etc. Thanks for your reply

I would email someone over there and try and set up a private party to mail items to and be sure they get to those that need it.

Maybe email this guy and tell him you are looking for a private party to deal with. he may be able to hook you up.

Katz is not a news agency per say.. He does live broadcasts and was very helpful with all the fukushima stuff, translating the press conferences and stuff.

He mostly does broadcasts for english speaking japanese visitors or those living there. Things like fashion, culture, food, etc. I think he'd have the time and some contacts of who to go through. I know a girl that works with him has gone to the areas affected, so maybe even he himself could get the items out for you.

When you find a destination to ship your care packages, here is the most economical way to ship. This company works with all the major shippers and finds the lowest rate possible. I do a lot of international shipping and they save me about 50% compared to UPS, Fedex, and DHL. The funny thing is, one of these companies will be the one who picks up the package and delivers it. When you print out a package slip it will usually be UPS or DHL. Only you pay half or even better than what they will quote. For example, I just shipped a package to Singapore for $48. I went to the UPS website and was quoted $102! When I printed the label it is going to be delivered by UPS. Anyone who ships should compare rates here first.
