Well - I can unplug it, sure - but I don't usually, because when my husband gets home we are all sleeping and he watches dvd's before going to bed.

Then, when my kids get up, they usually want a dvd to watch.

Anyway, my question was more about the ringing telephone than how to make the tv stop turning on.....
