I just hope it doesn't just park itself on top of them. Some of the worst we've had in VA have been Cat 2 and they just came in and stopped. Quoting: soulsurvivorAgreed. Evil world powers got the HAARP and Weather Satelites brewing in the Pacific Ocean to further devastate Japan and make sure that Fukishima keeps pouring out the deadly radiation as they planned. |

Quoting: IntruthIt's not normal, but it's not unheard of. However, most of the major typhoons tend not to make landfall in Japan. The dual problems this time around are (1) the Fukushima factor and (2) that Ma-on is slated to make landfall. |

They need no luck from heaven but it would be kind if nature would give the people a break. Nature knows what she wants. It is our job to trust her. |

Ma-on's sustained winds are predicted to be stronger than Songda's gusts. This is definitely a storm I'd be boarding up my windows and moving to higher ground for. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1265797 United States 07/17/2011 02:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Reactor building #4 at Fukushima is already structurally weak and leaning to one side. Continuous winds over 100 mph could bring it down, along with the SFP full of fuel rods. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1470886That would be freaking AWSOME !!!!! banana2::banana2:2: |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1471573 Canada 07/17/2011 02:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | With 1-minute maximum sustained winds of 212 km/h (132 mph), you wouldn't be able to stand. We get hurricanes up here in eastern Canada, and the highest I've ever seen the sustained winds is around 160 km/h. Even at that speed, you can barely stand; you have to hunch over, and it knocks your breath out. Add another 50 or 60 kms to that, plus gusts putting it up to 250 kms, and you're literally flying! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1471573 Canada 07/17/2011 02:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Jesus talks about pay-back karma -- also called "God's justice". No-one escapes it -- it gives us all according to what we've earned, sooner or later: Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them — do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” Luke 13 |
