Has anyone ever experienced watching a soul leave a body? I think I did

I believe my wife saw my brothers soul depart,just over two years ago I lost my brother who was only 48 to a massive heart attack,at the time it happened I was at work and I got the phone call saying what had happened and although they had taken him in the ambulance the paras said there was no hope,by the time I got home and got my wife it was about 90 mins later,we went into a small room in the ER where he was laid on a trolley,we we're told he was DOA which really broke me up,we were really close brothers and best mates too and our parents had both passed away just 3mths before so I was flattened and went to my brother and hugged him and cried my eyes out,once composed I had a chat with him,told him how much I loved him and said my goodbyes not until I got home did my wife say to me"andy didn't smoke did he" I said no Why she then told me when I was saying goodbye and hugging him that this unusual twist of grey smoke came from his mouth then disappeared ,well I had heard of this Death vapour but my wife never had until I told her she had seen my brothers soul leave after we'd said our goodbyes god bless him

No I wonder if I've seen an angel coming for someone's though, it was a golden orb moving through the trees in a specific direction like it was going somewhere, and there are a lot of houses in my neighborhood. And no it couldn't have been a firefly, judging from the size of it it had to have been at least 5 inches long.

William Blake saw the spirit of his brother Robert leave the body when Robert passed away. Therese Neumann in konnersreuth could also see the soul leave the body of dying Family members.
The Dutch psychic Gerard Croiset could also clearly see the spirit leave the body of a dying boy. Also the British nurse Joy Snell cpuld see these phenomena.

I saw my father's soul leave his body through his mouth as he died in my arms. I looked and saw what was like smoke come out of his mouth...I kept looking and it jumped back as if it saw me and was frightened. I looked and called it to come out and not to be afraid and the mist unfurled and when it was gone, there wasn't anymore movement...he was gone from his body and had begun the next phase of his soul's journey. It was beautiful. He is free.

Once a close friend. He died while I was napping a few blocks away from the hospital where he was. His spirit stopped by, woke me, and he said goodbye as he was leaving. I felt him as surely as if he walked into the room and said HELLO.

I saw what I suppose was his soul or spirit. It was bright lights and glittering and glimmering in a perfectly well lit room. It then went thru the window glass and up and into the sky. I saw him leave this realm and head toward his heavenly home.

I started to research this topic after watching the movie "Heaven is for Real" tonight. Even though I am a Christian, I have to admit that I did not always attend church on a regular basis. After reading other stories, I feel compelled to describe the experience that I witnessed when my father passed nearly 5 years ago. I should also mention that my wife and I were extremely close to my father and were lucky enough to enjoy a relationship that none of my other siblings had experienced with him. On that day, my wife and I and my older sister were in the hospital room with my father. We had been sitting with him for over 17 hours and could tell that his breaths were growing weaker as the hours went on. As we watched him take his final breath, I knew in my heart that he had passed. A moment later, I actually witnessed his spirit being drawn out out of his body and lifting toward the ceiling. It was not a fine mist as others have described but an actual faint immage of him. I was sitting near the foot of his bed and it appeared as if his soul was being pulled from his lower body and right out thru his head. It was like a foggy version of his face and a trail of energy that hovered for moment and then assended and disapeared. I instantly looked wife in the eyes and said did you see that? I was relieved when she nodded her head yes and then we both began to weep tears of joy. At first, this emotion didn't make sense to me. I had never experienced any person's death before let alone my own father. I did not know how I should feel, so this feeling of elation was very odd and unexpected. When I turned and looked back at my father it all began to make sense. A minute before, there was life with pain and suffering and now there was just an empty vessel lieing in the bed. Knowing the miracle of what I had just witnessed, I felt a great feeling of joy and relief. Seconds later, I looked at my sister and saw that she had a very puzzled look on her face. She could not understand why we were both smiling. I knew right away that for some reason, she was not allowed to see what we had seen. I was happy for my father, but sad for my sister at the same time.

When my dad died, a blue dot of light came out of his mouth with his last breath. It hovered around long enough for me to make sure i wasn't getting a reflection or something. As soon as i said "dad" that blue dot went up and out of the room. Coolest thing EVER!

Question: Does the sighting of the soul vapor happen the same amount as the Near Death Experience?

NDEs happen to about 1 out of 6 people, so is that the odds of having the soul vapor visibly leave the body?

I remember one guy on a forum say he felt his wife 'pass through' him when she died. He wouldn't go into details but I would have loved to hear them.

When my mother was 5 or 6 years old (this is around 1929 or 1930), their family car (a Model A) went off the road and into a ditch. Her head hit the dashboard real hard. She remembered floating above, looking down on the car and herself below. (This was before they came up with the term NDE I'm sure.) My mother wound up with a big gash on her forehead that upset my grandmother a lot.

I saw a whitish colored image come out of my aunt's mouth right before she passed away. At first sight, I thought she had somehow breathed in a piece of cotton while she was trying to breath. I watched it come out of her mouth and remained in the air in front of her mouth. It then looked like a white feather I was trying to figure out why it wasn't moving as she breathed. When I asked the others, by her bedside, "What is that thing?" No one knew what I was talking about, I was pointing right at it and saw it as plain as day! It then flew up in the air leaving a very thin string behind it. I'm still pointing and following it's path up towards the ceiling and asking the others what it was. It's "tail" made like a circle and it stopped right in the air, then shot off through the room and disappeared. My aunt took three more breaths and left me. No one else witnessed what I saw. I was told by one of the nursing staff that I had just witnessed my aunts soul leave her body and I was given a gift.

I have seen the Soul several times in humans and animals leaving their bodies......luminescent, iridescent, sparkly gold and silver mist that is illuminated from within....gorgeous!

I saw one and it was leaving out the mouth. I heard that the soul resides in the gut which is inside but still connected to the outside of the body.
The person stopped dying and the mist went back into the mouth.

My wife and I were with my father about two hours before he died. I was sitting next to his hospital bed which was in front of a big picture window, he had been sent home to die and hospice was helping us. I looked away from him for a second and my wife who was sitting behind me on a couch jumped up and said Oh my gosh! I looked at dad and saw a thin mist or steam comming from his mouth rising up and whisping away in little plumes about the size of my hand they were going in different directions like flickering flames. It only lasted a few seconds then she said was that his spirit? I said I didn't know then I checked and saw he was still breathing. This was about two hours before he died.

A very detailed study was done by a professional and the weight loss was always seen. It was done with a very sensitive scale and the fluid loss was accounted for.
