Sure, you could, but the story makes it so much more interesting. I could find millions of people on the Internet telling me their grand philosophy, but mix in an exciting story about time travel with some accurate predictions and I'm hooked. It's a good read.

What happens to all of the prisoners? Not only here in the U.S., but in all countries? I understand some things not being illegal will negate the criminal action...like drugs, and monetary fraud/theft...but what about the violent criminals?
Even in the new leaders grace, surely the murderers, rapist, those who abuse, etc. are not let free into society.

Inherently, we as humans question structure. What happens to those people?

I think the OP is playing with words (as he'd said being accurate is gonna get him in "big problems"). If you re-read his comment: "Your current Pope will not make it to 2018 he will die of illness before that year arrives," you notice that he didn't say anything about Benedict not being pope in the year he die (i.e. before 2018), he only said the current Pope (i.e Pope Benedict) will not live past 2018 and will die of illness before 2018 arrives. The OP also added that he didn't want to say the exact year Benedict will die. As such, whatever he said hasn't come to pass yet, and it's certainly not "never happened" (like you said).

OP also said "A new pope will take power he will be similar in characteristics as Pope John Paul the second." Reading it carefully, it simply means another pope will be in power and will have similar characteristics as Pope John Paul II. It does not say the new pope will take power when the current pope dies. Therefore, we will have to wait and see if the new pope will be similar to John Paul II in the next few years, but for now it's certainly not "never happened" (like you said).
