you know what would be cool? if there was a law stating that if a person is incarcerated for any amount of time, and ultimately he is found not guilty at the time of his hearing, the state must pay a lot of money for each day in jail.

this would dissuade prosecutors from being abusive. it would mean tighter cases and more professionalism because there would be consequences to their bringing weak charges.

A La Mesa man who posted racial epithets and a call to "shoot" Barack Obama on an Internet chat site was engaging in constitutionally protected free speech, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday in overturning his criminal conviction.

Walter Bagdasarian was found guilty two years ago of making threats against a major presidential candidate in comments he posted on a Yahoo.com financial website after 1 a.m. on Oct. 22, 2008, as Obama's impending victory in the race for the White House was becoming apparent. Bagdasarian told investigators he was drunk at the time.

This is incredible ! Calling for the execution of an American president is legaly protected speech !? Well hell it is speach after all ! But-----

he was not president when this threat was made, making a threat against the president is STILL a felony.

And I posted mine before anybody and I promptly received threats from the Senior Forum Moderator for even bringing the story up.

I challenged people not to be afraid to discuss a major news story and I was harshly rebuked.

I even cautioned people that I understood that this was a very "sensitive" story and implied them to use caution when posting.

These people promote (or pin) only those that they "approve" of or who kiss up to them.

I can see what is about to happen now...

Anybody that threatens a president or other political figure in public should be in jail for felony stupidity anyway. Even if they don't do anything except make a threat, it cost the taxpayers (that's us) a fortune and their quality of life takes a huge hit. With all the feds watching them 24/7 their life will suck for years. If you feel like threatening our liar in chief, i recommend keeping it to yourself.
