I can see it says he was bitten. but don't see where he was bitten 19times. although with black widows it's a possibility as they can strike multiple times if threatened.

It is rare for someone to die from such a bite however, it does occur especially in the obvious young, and old, and those with weakened immune systems.

Black widow bites, tend to be quite painful, as to why he didn't notice the bites when they occured, and died weeks after noticing them leaves one to speculate.

That's a lot of bites and if he was allergic to them, then I can see how this could happen. Sad.

Oh irony, did you listen to the news report, he was afraid of blackwidow spiders in particular and had his house sprayed for them months before he was bitten.

Jeff Seale, 40, noticed 19 bites on his foot two weeks before he died. His sister says he worked at a horse stable, and she wonders if that's where her brother might've encountered the spider.

really?

How about in the article header and in the second paragraph?
Also, the news anchor in the video said 19 times.

We have em all over. You can get bit without knowing. Sometimes the bite is a mere tingly feeling. The pain doesnt set in for a lil while. I have family members that were bit more than once before they realized it was a Black Widow

Due to the climate being warmer of late, Widows seem to like living anywhere.
Around a century ago the Noble False Black Widow came to the UK from the Canaries, they lingered around the south for some time but lately they are breeding like wildfire and moving north. They are now our most poisonous Spider.

And here I was thinking I had started to conquer my Arachnophobia. I guess the answer is right in front of me; FUCK NO.

Found a big brown jumping spider in the house on the window yesterday and scooped it into a tupperware container and escorted it out. Jumping Spiders are the only ones I give mercy. All others die by smashing. Unless its a granddaddy longleg in that case I pick it up by its leg or flick it until I get it out of the door they smell like a bunch of crushed up ladybugs when you kill one of them.

Re: Man dies after being bitten 19 times by a black widow spider
I watched that segment and saw all the marks on the top of his foot. Hard for me to understand.

I also work in barns each day and kill black widows and brown recluse often. (just killed one this morning, as a matter of fact).

I guess the sister is saying that he brought one home from the barn in something he took into his house? I don't really understand how one can get so many bites on the top of the foot.

maybe he was passed out and stuck his foot under a blanket that had one in it? Even there, it's not their usual pattern of behavior.

no mention of 'he said he woke up and found a crushed spider in his bedding' or anything of what the story was. just weird.

Lots of black widows here in south florida....i mean lots of them.
Find the darn things anywhere there is like a place to hide like under the lip on buckets or tubs outside, up under overhangs etc....
The web they spin is very strong and you can tell immediately its a black widow web and the tell tale egg sacks.
i have even found them nesting in my bromeliad plants.....yep....and even up under the wheel well of an RV!
