You are right Boomer. I did not say Dan´s story is a hoax as I cannot prove that.

BTW, IMHO, Ron Garner is not even qualified to make movie deals and Winston isn´t either. However, I just got feedback from a friend who is in that industry and also knows Ron Garner and things do not look cool at all.

That pathetic photo of Dan´s diploma that is blurred just worsens things.

Once this story did have promise, but now it will go nowhere IMO.

Other insiders I have been in touch with communicate differently than Dan and most are no-nonsense skeptics believe it or not and I cannot convince one other insider of Dan´s authenticity. However, information passed to me by anonymous sources around Dan proved correct, but no smoking gun ever emerged in the three year time span I devoted to this.

I have also decided to cancel my book contract and that cost me money and will net me another loss. However, I feel I have to stand on principle and I cannot condone the action of first shunning Ron Garner (he was not allowed contact with Dan by Marci) then turning around to negotiate with him in secret without consulting with the rest of us. Ron was the one who also palmed off a science fiction alien image on UFO magazine representing this as some image Dan gave me depciting the J-Rod. Ron cannot evaluate data and fell flat on his face with the Jonathon Reed case and was hoping I would continue to lend my reputation in ufology to his venture for money. I knew this was why he was motivated to get involved when he turned to Dan´s mother Dodie Crain upon not being allowed further contact with Dan and proposed to her to write a book about her son and follow this up with a motion picture. He also suggested to Dodie that she could see a lawyer and supboena Debbie and Dan to court over Debbie´s daughter and her granddaughter by Dan´s marriage and when Ron´s ploy failed, he saw an opening to wrangle the deal with Marci. Marci, in need of money, and having lost her job in LV, and having traveled (allegedly) first to D.C., then Canada returned to Las Vegas to pull Dan out of his debrief with Alan and Sandy (Starryeyes says Alan ios controlling, but he cannot hold a candle to the control Marci has over Dan´s life -- much more control than Deb) and announced also to Winston that his contributions were no longer needed.

I am standing on principle here and cannot be a party to or condone this kind of behavior. Ron threatened me with legal action if I did not cease and desist from showing Dan´s 2003 interview though I have been advised that he did not have a legal leg to stand on as Dan´s story is already in th public domain. I told Ron to not wastew his time and money on something that would net him nothing in the end and he said he had hired the best detective in the country and since Ron brokers real estate deals he occasionally has funds to spend, but has also been dead broke at times.

This is the truth as far as I know it and with my getting hammered not just from critics in the ufo community but fairly well-authenticated "insiders" I have promised my wife that I will simply let go of the rope as one does in a tug of war when all that is holding up the guy on their end is your resistance.

I have also been informed that Bill Birnes of UFO magazine holds the rights to the Bob Lazar story and screenplay. Maybe Ron, buddies with Bill, would like to pick up the option on that too.
