I get so sick of these threads. I ran a trucking business four years until fuel prices skyrocketed and put me under. I had 7 people working with me I had to lay off, who all received unemployment, which since I was self employed I was ineligible for.

Now my family is on food stamps, we happen to live in the unfortunate area of the highest unemployment rate of our state, and we have to deal with this type of garbage everyday.

I had to sell my trucks to pay off the 12,000 in taxes on the truck permits and plates plus trailers, netting 8,000 on my last year due to the price of diesel. I paid more in taxes then I made all year long.

I live in a non welfare state. I don't get gas money to put in applications. What am I supposed to do? There is no assistance in my area. Yet my children have to eat. I'd much rather be helping others by providing employment to them but the ptb took my extra and taxed me to oblivion. I'm out of business. I'm forced to seek help from locals, I've been homeless.

Somehow a lot of people complain about helping another person, which in return could be helping them. As long as they work for the man they don't see the big picture. Believe me, help me get back on my feet and I'll go right back to employing more people.

As long as guys like me are regulated to death through taxes and fees, along with the price of fuel it's inevitable that you end up in the same boat because we can only support you so long before we must lay you off because we can't pay you any longer.

Of course I'm speaking about small business only because the big wigs are in league with ptb.
