from what i gather, richard hoagland specualtes that elenin might in fact be some kind of artificial probe, or craft, comparable to a timecapsule, and may have been set on it's course by an ancient precursor to our current cicilization so as to, when the shit is about to hit the fan, we'll be able to pick up valuable information in regards to us being able to avert whatever catastrophe might be abput to wipe us out.

he furthermore stated that elenin will be broadcasting a signal that will be able to be picked up by amateur HAM-operators around the globe. interestingly enough, there has been a video floating around the net of a recording, supposedly taken of comet elenin, which does sound kinda strange. if it indeed has been taken off elenin, nobody knows for sure.
