Don't panic. It's a Jupiter with moons. The "flaring" comes from the autofocus which is not able to set the right distance and moves back and forth

Its moving to... i saw the moon around it as well....

This is what I initially thought but I have never heard of the moons of jupiter being picked up by a handicam.....

That doesn't seem right....

Jupiter has 4 moons and it worth be in the SE at that time.

Yeah sure, and last week is was Pisgah Crater (two miles from a major interstate in souther California) mysteriously erupting, but only Dutchsinse could detect it.

How about Dutch's claim, "it was moving "up" towards 90 degrees north directly overhead.. it was rising from horizon to the "upper right" Could that still be Jupiter?

One question I have is whether this was all optical zoom or if the closest shots are digital zoom?

It's Jupiter I checked stellarium. All the moons are exact.

Its fucking Jupiter, the reason it is flaring is the auto focus or the auto light dimming on the camera, the reason it is moving is due to the earth's rotation.
