According to my computations Trails have to be from craft cruising above 34,000 feet. . . .In the Detroit area 4 Aug 2011.

the highest humidity and the coldest temperatures . . . The purpose of
this chart and example is to establish the highest (warmest) temperature at which a trail would be prevented from forming or become persistent at all . . . any temperature warmer than those listed below for each specified altitude will not form contrails and this is true 98% of the time according to NASA in 1992 . . . all these temperatures are at 100% Relative Humidity which is optimal for Trail formation so the temperatures displayed are the highest (warmest) temperature at which Trails will form at the specified altitude . . . for example at 250 hPa or 34,219 feet Trails could possibly form at -42.5 degrees or colder; however, 98% of the time Trails will not form at -42 degrees or warmer for example at-41 C or -40 C, -30 C, etc. So generallly speaking . . . at miminal normal crusing altitudes for commercial long haul air traffic . . . Trails
should not form 98% of the time if the air temperature is (warmer) above -38 C . . this is the maximum temperature at 26,247 feet a trail should form . . . so if the temp is -38.5 C (or 0.5 C colder) there is a better than a 2% chance it could form a trail. . .

Wanna bottom-line it for me?

Could you tell me what time you saw these trails?

Bottom line . . . The atmospheric soundings in the Detroit area indicate that the air was too warm to have contrails form unless the aircraft were cruising at 34,000 feet or more. . . . That is with 100% humidity . . . 34,000 feet is at the top of the commercial aircraft cruising altitudes. . . I don't know anything else . . .

The Relative humidities were very, very low so. . . These look they should have not been there . .

i try to take pics when i see them. it pisses me off to be sprayed without knowing what's going on.

I golf almost every day and noticed they have been gone for a week or so. The same thing happened last summer at this time. I wonder if the Iluminati owned businesses which finance this are just giving the pilots vacation time.

Its almost comforting to see they aren't finished with us yet, and things are still normal;
