Vt ? . . . I must have missed your original post. . . You saw them near sunset . . . 5 Aug 2011 . . . Near Burlington, Vt. . . Could they have been there much earlier? . . .

What you have is common IGNORANCE. That's not an insult and isn't meant to be. It's a fact. Aviation and atmospheric science are a VERY rare study. One can't just "look up" and pretend that they don't need to b instructed by qualified professionals in order to understand what they see.

You are in a position where those who thought the earth was flat were in. You use the information your eyes see to make assumptions about things you only pretend to understand.


Seeing other planes not leaving contrails is only an indication that the area of the sky where they are in contains conditions not conducive t contrail creation. It's either to warm or too dry. And pockets of cold moist air CAN be right near areas of warm dry air.

Because the OP didn't make any claims. And I've been banned so many times from this site just for challenging the beliefs of others that I didn't want to take the chance. I'll admit it...I don't trust the mods here to be impartial. This is a conspiracy site, and I'm not a conspiracy theorist. There is a different mentality in the majority here...

hmmm, seeing as i've been using bbs since 1987 i believe i understand the concept quite well.

i simply feel that people should be able to discuss theories as well as facts. some of these 'facts' are proven by nefarious means and are dubious as well. science is the art of finding facts. theories produce facts. we are simply attempting to find reasons for areas which have gray shadings. such as persistant trails.

seeking to disrupt theory discussion is vain and egotistcal.

....Instead of making declarative statements of fact about subjects they have never studied through reputable sources, then I wouldn't be so hard on them. It's my opinion that this hoax is being spread like a huge virus...and it's ridiculous.

Sorry, I see WAY too many people claiming they "know" something when they are utterly clueless! And that leads to the SPREAD of ignorance/fear unnecessarily. I'm the good guy here. I'm pointing out that people are making assumptions and jumping to conclusions about subjects they couldn't be more ignorant about if they wanted to be!
