The US will be in severe decline for the next 3 years. (multiple repeats of 08 only way way worse) In 2014 we will hit rock bottom...enter the world of Mad Max. No, this is even better than 'Monday', thanks. But I agree if everybody is expecting Monday to be doomsday, TPTB will swoop in and will make everything 'flat'. Some geographic areas won't be able to see it due to cloud cover...but others will. Some birds will be squawking somewhere. Some kid will skin his knee learning to ride his bike.
