I've considered what you're getting at. It is a very interesting correlation, that's for sure... It allows you to identify the spirit/heart of the matter that you are witnessing but I don't think it's the official mark... These types of prophecies manifest in many things that are associated with the work of 'the devil'...
swearing oaths of allegance is an ancient practice. I don't believe it's the 'mark'... it sure is a sign of worship though.
